JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure is already quite strange, but the Death Thirteen Arc stands out amid the strangeness the show is known for. The arc sees the characters entering into a dream world controlled by the antagonist known as Death Thirteen.

For instance, Rock Lee reveals his powers by beating Naruto and Neji in battle, winning Sakura’s heart in the process. Killer B also experiences an adventure while accompanied by other jinchūriki.
6 Fairy Tail – Edolas Arc
On a mission to save Edolas, the home of Wendy and Happy, the characters travel into a different world where there is no magic. They form allies and attempt a rescue mission but, instead, get captured by the Edolas Erza and her army.
What follows is a quest for more information and a complicated plan to save Edolas, drawn up by Mystogan. They try to move magic to Earth Land through Anima. The process is full of complications, discoveries and twists, and an eventual successful ending.
5 Hunter x Hunter – Greed Island Arc
In the Greed Island Arc, Gon and Killua are on a wild adventure to the Southern piece Auction for Greed Island. They plan to gain access through whoever buys the game. When Battera gets the game, they ask to play for him, but he shuts them down.
But Gon and Killua are not dismayed for long. Eventually, they find their way into Greed Island and face many challenges on the inside, including Genthru, who pulls devious tricks to gain restricted cards. Gon and Killua find their way past him and meet Ging in a forest.
4 One Piece – Skypiea Arc
The Skypiea Arc follows the Straw Hats into Skypiea, an island in the sky considered a myth by people from the Blue Sea. Skypiea is full of unique kinds of people who have wings without the ability to fly.
When the Straw Hats arrive at Heaven’s Gate, they are asked to pay a fee but fail to do so because they don’t know the currency. The crew, without knowing it, then goes into Skypiea as criminals. What follows is an adventure in Skypiea full of discoveries and war.
3 Fairy Tail – Eclipse Celestial Spirits Arc
In the Eclipse Celestial Spirits Arc, Lucy Heartfilia and her friends get attacked by the Celestial Spirits because the Spirit King has gone missing, and the Celestial Spirit World is in disarray. To handle the situation, the characters go as teams into different worlds.
Natsu visits the Celestial Spirit World to challenge Leo and fights him with the Dark Regulus flames, while the others fight rebellious spirits in the other worlds. Eventually, they quell the threat and close the gate, but the battle still isn’t over.
2 Sailor Moon – Black Moon Arc
In the Black Moon Arc, the Black Moon clan comes to Earth, searching for the Silver Crystal of the future and planning to take Chibiusa with them. After Sailor Mars, Sailor Mercury, and Sailor Jupiter get captured and taken to planet Nemesis, Sailor Moon and her friends must do something.
They try to help by visiting 30th-century Crystal Tokyo to discover the Black Moon’s ultimate intentions regarding Chibiusa and the Silver Crystal. On their way, they meet Sailor Pluto, who guards time. Despite their rough start, the group eventually gains passage and continues its mission.
1 Dragon Ball Z – Other World Saga
The Other World Saga is a filler portion of the anime, with no direct source in the manga. It follows Goku as he joins King Kai and visits the Grand Kai’s Planet, where dead heroes live. He meets Pikkon, and they both go down to hell to handle a problem caused by Frieza and other accomplices.
The arc’s events eventually lead to an Other World Tournament, where Goku fights and defeats other fighters and faces Pikkon in the finals. Because they are so well-matched, their battle only ends with disqualification.
