Besides the K-Project series, the GoHands animation company is also responsible for such popular anime as Princess Lover! and Seitokai Yakuindomo. GoHands is better recognized for its partnerships with other studios than for its original works. However, they have worked on a number of notable series.
The Girl I Like Forgot Her Glasses and The Masterful Cat Is Depressed Again Today are two new series by the studio. With both series getting a lot of attention in Summer 2023, fans are intrigued by various other anime series produced by GoHands and what they have to offer.
7 Seitokai Yakuindomo
Ousai Private Academy, an all-girls high school, is suddenly transformed into a co-ed high school due to the country’s declining birth rates. On his first day at school, Takatoshi Tsuda is called out due to his unruly school uniform. From there, Takatoshi is offered a seat on the student council to represent the new male students.
While Takatoshi is skeptical of joining at first, he eventually accepts the offer. He must now navigate his life through the various personas of the other members of the student council. While the anime series Seitokai Yakuindomo aired in Summer 2010, the series still remains one of GoHands’ best.
6 The Girl I Like Forgot Her Glasses
The currently airing The Girl I Like Forgot Her Glasses anime series portrays the lives of Ai Mie and Kaede Komura. As the deskmate of Ai Mie, Kaede has a crush on Ai but is too shy to confess his feelings to the unassuming, absent-minded girl. When Ai forgets or misplaces her glasses, she usually squints and leans in close to see Kaede’s face properly, which makes the boy blush.
When Ai has difficulty accomplishing tasks or moving around, Kaede offers his help, and Ai begins to rely on him more and more. As the duo gets closer, feelings begin to blossom between them.
5 The Masterful Cat Is Depressed Again Today
Saku Fukazawa, a young salaried woman, lives an unhealthy lifestyle as a heavy drinker and a compulsive hoarder. However, her life changes when she takes in the stray black cat, Yukichi. Despite being a cat, Yukichi is the size of a human and is able to walk on two legs. He is also very smart and has exceptional culinary skills, which he is very proud of. Yukichi can also use various appliances properly and takes care of the house while Saku goes to work.
Over time, Yukichi’s influence has improved Saku’s lifestyle as she becomes more orderly and gets her life together. As this slice-of-life anime series portrays comedic and anthropomorphic elements, it stands out in a unique way.
4 Mardock Scramble
The GoHands animation studio has various great anime series. However, its anime movies are also not to be neglected, as seen with the cyberpunk-themed Mardock Scramble. The futuristic Mardock City is home to many, including Rune Balot, a young teen who strives to survive. One day, Rune is taken in by Shell, who provides for her needs.
Wondering why Shell has been so good to her, Rune researches his past, which turns out to be a mistake as Shell attempts to kill her. Fortunately, Rune is saved by Dr. Easter, who replaces her damaged human parts with artificial ones, turning her into a cyborg. With Shell as her “killer,” Rune is out to get him as he also tries to destroy her to prevent her from testifying.
3 Princess Lover!
The Princess Lover! anime series follows the life of Teppei Arima. A young man, after being involved in an accident that led to the deaths of his parents, is taken in by his grandfather. When his grandfather takes him in, Arima is introduced to a world different from what he is used to, one filled with riches and prosperity.
In return for Arima’s now lavish lifestyle, he is expected to succeed his grandfather as head of the Arima Financial Combine. To prepare for the challenges of owning a business, Arima is enrolled in an esteemed high school where he meets others with wealth and status like him.
2 Project Scard: Scar On The Praeter
Eiji Arashiba, the Hero of Akatsuki, a special ward for outlaws that the government has abandoned, strives to do all he can to protect the poor and helpless. When outsiders have their sights set on the special ward, Eiji does all he can to prevent the smuggling of weapons that Dusk, the mafia syndicate, has initiated.
As a Scard with a divine tattoo, Eiji has supernatural abilities that put him above ordinary humans. While Eiji uses his abilities to protect the Akatsuki Special Ward, he comes across Yamato, a fan of Eiji who strives to do good. As the duo faces the outsiders together, Eiji is fatally injured and passes on his tattoo to Yamato.
1 Hand Shakers
Hand Shakers are pairs of individuals who receive the revelation of Babel, get transported to the alternate dimension Ziggurat, and battle it out with other Hand Shaker pairs for the right to have their wish granted by God.
Tazuna Takatsuki, a high school student with a flair for mechanics, accepts a repair request at a university research facility. There he meets Koyori Akutagawa and becomes Hand Shakers with her. From then on, the duo must battle other Hand Shakers for the right to have their wish granted. Hand Shakers features a ton of action scenes with lots of psychological drama, which makes it intriguing for fans.
