Kawaki made his debut in the very first chapter of Boruto: Naruto Next Generations. Fans were able to figure out that Kawaki was going to be Boruto’s final opponent. The important question was how they would meet each other and end up on completely opposite sides.
As the story continued, the truth about Kawaki’s past was revealed, and it was rather grim. Kawaki suffered a lot until Naruto decided to take him in. He settled nicely with the Uzumaki family and tried to live a normal life. However, fate had other plans for him. There is no denying that Kawaki is a prodigy with a bunch of incredible skills. These special abilities give him an edge over the other characters in Boruto: Naruto Next Generations.
6 Ingenuity
Kawaki comes off as brash and callous, but the reality is that he has an intelligent head on his shoulders. Most of the time, his strength is enough to crush his opponents. However, against more muscular opponents, Kawaki changes his approach.
Instead of charging headfirst into a situation, Kawaki formulates a strategy to get the better of his opponent. His intelligence is further exemplified by the fact that he was able to learn different ninjutsu techniques in a short time despite having no prior experience. Kawaki can even use the Shadow Clone Technique to trick and lure opponents into a trap.
5 Ninjutsu
Originally, Kawaki could not use any kind of ninjutsu. He was only able to fight using his fists and weapons. But after going to the Hidden Leaf, Kawaki began to train with Naruto and learned about molding chakra. Not long afterward, Kawaki became capable of using ninjutsu.
He can use techniques by performing the required seals with a single hand, a feat that only the greatest ninjas have ever managed. So far, Kawaki has shown proficiency in Fire Release. He has also mastered the use of shadow clones and often uses them to deceive his opponents. Over time, Kawaki managed to hide his chakra signature, making it impossible to detect him. Needless to say, if Kawaki continues to train and learn more about ninjutsu, he can definitely master all five natures in next to no time.
4 Taijutsu Expert
Kawaki is one of the best taijutsu users in Boruto, mainly because of Jigen’s ridiculous training regime. The leader of Kara was thorough in his approach, as he could not afford to let the vessel have any kind of imperfections. Kawaki endured brutal beatdowns that would have killed any other person.
After being freed from Jigen’s clutches, Kawaki showed his hand-to-hand combat prowess. He relies on his speed to blitz his opponents and attack their unguarded zones. With his ability to reshape his limbs, Kawaki can add different moves to his combos, making it difficult to predict them.
3 Body Modifications
Amado performed various genetic experiments on Kawaki. The scientist equipped Kawaki with microscopic shinobi technology that made him a living weapon. For this reason, Kawaki is able to fight various opponents with little to no problems. He has an extremely high rate of regeneration, which allows him to keep fighting even after losing a limb or another body part.
It is nearly impossible to injure Kawaki, as even the worst wounds heal in a matter of minutes. He is able to manipulate different body parts and turn them into weapons for fighting. So far, Kawaki has transformed his limbs into blades that can easily cut through the durable body of someone like Garo. He can even create projectiles that he can launch at his opponents from a distance. The bodily enhancements have also made Kawaki resilient. He can withstand a multitude of attacks before being forced to withdraw.
2 Dojutsu
It is obvious that using the Karma for an extended period would cause it to grow. At one point, Kawaki’s Karma advanced so much that he was able to unlock other abilities that were unique to Isshiki Otsutsuki. He unlocked the Dojutsu that Isshiki used all the time.
Using the unnamed eye, Kawaki can access Sukonahikona. This particular ability enables Kawaki to shrink himself and other non-living things. In addition to Sukonohikona, Kawaki can use Daikokuten to store objects in a different dimension. He can summon the items whenever needed. Both of these abilities are useful and can potentially rescue him from a tricky situation.
1 Karma
After putting Kawaki through immense torture, Isshiki was confident that the young boy would be the perfect vessel for his revival. Kawaki received the Karma, and he was able to gain control over it in a short period of time. While using the ability, Kawaki gains a red-colored horn on the left side of his head.
Following Isshiki’s death at the hands of Naruto, Kawaki lost his Karma. Eventually, he got it back from Amado, but this time the Otsutsuki wasn’t alive to trouble him. The Karma boosts Kawaki’s physical abilities notably, allowing him to take on much bigger opponents. It also enables him to fly and open portals to different dimensions. The latter makes it difficult to keep track of Kawaki’s movements and gives him the chance to land surprise attacks.
