The wait for Boruto: Naruto Next Generations is almost over and the series is now all set to return later next month. Boruto recently did some promotion for the second part of the story and it’s safe to say that fans are incredibly excited for what is to come in the future of the series.
Earlier this year, the Boruto manga finished its first part and went on a long hiatus, likely to give the author time to prepare for what is the ultimate section of the story. While the wait was hard and grueling for the fans, it is almost over, and here’s what fans can expect from the upcoming sequel to Boruto, called Boruto: Two Blue Vortex.
Boruto: Two Blue Vortex – What To Expect
Boruto: Two Blue Vortex is the name of the second part of the Boruto manga. This can be considered similar to how the second part of the Naruto anime was named Naruto Shippuden. In Boruto: Two Blue Vortex, fans are likely going to see all their characters return after the 4-year time skip. Usually, shonen manga often witness short timeskips, and this is prevalent across almost all the stories, however, in Boruto, the timeskip is actually quite big. Boruto returns to Konoha as a 16-year-old, which means that the timeskip is going to be 4 years long, giving Boruto, as well as other members of the next generation of ninjas, time to mature and evolve into fantastic Shinobi, worthy of protecting their village.
Boruto: Two Blue Vortex is going to focus on this aspect of the story and, first and foremost, fans should expect an impressive display from their beloved cast of characters. The very first chapter of the second part of Boruto is likely going to show fans how far these characters have progressed and what they have learned in the four-year timeskip. Fans can also expect to find out bits about what they did during the timeskip and how they grew stronger.
Post Timeskip Designs
Of course, one of the biggest and most exciting parts of Boruto: Two Blue Vortex is going to be the new designs for nearly all characters. Fans have already seen some designs, thanks to the prologue of the Boruto series. Boruto Uzumaki and Kawaki were fighting atop the Hokage faces and Konoha was entirely destroyed around them. Both Boruto and Kawaki look very different from their design in the first part of the story. Boruto looks far more mature and is shown to wield a sword, as well as wearing Sasuke’s clothes. Kawaki, on the other hand, is shown wielding a bo staff as well as changing all his clothes.
Apart from these two characters, fans had not seen any other character design being revealed, that is, until recently, when the character design of Sarada Uchiha was revealed to them. For the promotion of Boruto: Two Blue Vortex, the post-timeskip design of Sarada Uchiha was teased on the cover. It appears that Sarada Uchiha has completely changed her design now. She is now sporting a very short haircut as well as wearing Uchiha earrings. Sarada has also changed her glasses to rimless and, at the same time, she wears a choker on her neck. She’s also wearing a jacket, however, the rest can’t be made out from the promotional cover. Much of her design still remains to be seen. Needless to say, fans are absolutely loving what they have seen so far.
The post-timeskip design of characters such as Mitsuki have not been revealed to the fans just yet. There are also other major characters, such as members of Team 10 and even the characters of the old generation who have not had their designs revealed to the fans. Even the likes of Sasuke Uchiha, Sakura Haruno, and possibly even Naruto later on, could get a change in design and that alone excites the fans quite a lot. Fans are expecting great things in this aspect of Boruto: Two Blue Vortex and are hoping that both Kishimoto and Ikemoto combine to deliver.
Newfound Powers
At the end of the first part of the Boruto manga, Sasuke Uchiha and Boruto Uzumaki set out on a journey to grow stronger and return to rescue Naruto Uzumaki, and, at the same time, settle the score with Kawaki. In 4 years, they are likely to have grown much stronger. While the vast majority of the focus is going to be on Boruto, Sasuke will also have trained himself because the village needs a protector more than ever before, with Naruto being absent right now. Fans will most likely see what Boruto has learned in his years of training. Given that Sasuke has trained him for quite a while, fans can expect him to be a master of Lightning Release, which he can use with great proficiency.
At the same time, Boruto will also be much more skilled in kenjutsu, and under the tutelage of Sasuke, he will have grown to a point where he can fight the strongest characters in the entire story. Boruto could also have learned more about his Jougan eye. Sasuke is a master of dojutsu and if Boruto would have brought it up with him, it goes without saying that Sasuke would have helped him master this eye as well.
At the same time, both the characters of Sarada Uchiha and Mitsuki will also have grown tremendously powerful. Sarada could have trained under her mother and mastered the art of healing jutsu. However, that’s certainly not enough to help her compete against the strongest enemies in the series. Sarada will have trained her other powerful techniques, most importantly, her Mangekyo Sharingan, to get stronger. Sadly for her, the best person to help her practice the usage of this eye is her father and he currently is not available to train her. Sarada would have had to train on her own to grow stronger.
Mitsuki, on the other hand, would likely have trained under Orochimaru, his father, and grown tremendously stronger. It must be remembered that Mitsuki has the potential to surpass even the strongest of the Sannin with ease and once he does fulfill his potential, he’s going to be on an entirely different level.
Series Climax
Boruto: Two Blue Vortex is going to be the part where the series ends up coming to a conclusion. The vast majority of the series is going to focus on the Otsutsuki Clan and the retrieval of Naruto Uzumaki at the same time. As fans might remember, Naruto was sealed away by Kawaki at the end of the first part of the series. Boruto intends to rescue his father and, at the same time, save his brother as well. In the midst of this all, the threat of the Otsutsuki Clan also needs to be dealt with. Code, one of the primary antagonists of the series, is still an active enemy of the ninja world and as long as he exists, nobody is safe.
There are also other overarching plot threads that need to be resolved, such as the one concerning Shibai Otsutsuki. Just like Shibai, other members of the Otsutsuki Clan will have to be eliminated in order for Konoha and, by extension, the entirety of the shinobi world to be at peace. How Boruto deals with all these plot points and resolves them remains to be seen.
Fans are incredibly excited for the story to return and deliver. While the next generation is going to be at the center of it all, fans also hope that some attention is given to the old characters and that they are not butchered, as they were in the first part of Naruto, on certain occasions. Despite all qualms, fans are very excited for Boruto to return later next month and make an impact with a very strong chapter.
