Crunchyroll announced on Wednesday that the Colombian Grammy-nominated singer J Balvin will voice a character in the currently airing Solo Leveling Season 2 -Arise from the Shadow-. The musician will be involved in the English and Spanish dubs of the series, which has been airing since January 4, with the English dub premiering on January 18. The Medellin-born artist expressed his excitement at “getting involved in the anime world”, describing the casting as “an absolute honour”.

More English dub cast members should be revealed as time goes on.

Solo Leveling Season 2 -Arise from the Shadow-, produced by the highly regarded A-1 Pictures (Sword Art Online) continues the anime adaptation of DUBU and Chugong’s manhwa by the same name, with SAO director Shunsuke Nakashige as director. The series also features motion graphics by Ghost in the Shell production studio Production I.G, and is co-produced by Aniplex and Crunchyroll.
