While everyone tends to believe that the most powerful transformation in the series will be the product of a fusion between Goku and Vegeta, a potential fusion of Gohan and Broly could be just as impressive. Fans of the franchise have theorized that these two may fuse at some point in the series for quite some time now, but so far, this only remains wishful thinking.
However, that doesn’t mean it’s unlikely, since there are quite a few hints and parallels between them to make this a possibility. For one, both Gohan and Broly hold the greatest potential throughout the entire Saiyan race, at least from what fans have seen, which has only really been shown to have been surpassed by Frieza. Throughout their showings, both characters have closed the gap between them and their opponents with a fraction of the training and hard work it would have taken Goku and Vegeta.

Although Gohan did train behind the scenes, it wasn’t close to the hard work that Goku has put in over the years, making his potential all the more impressive. Conversely, Broly was able to surpass the strength of 2 Super Saiyan Blues in his first ever real fight, and then again when he unlocked his Full Power Super Saiyan state in Chapter 103, where he equaled Gohan Beast in tenacity.
Because of this, the ultimate fusion between Gohan and Broly will surely shake the foundations of the franchise, perhaps even turning him into the most powerful mortal in the entire series. Fans believe that such a transformation would be stronger than Gogeta or Vegito using the Divine Techniques, so this perhaps makes it the strongest possible fusion that can occur in Dragon Ball.
