Over the years, characters in Dragon Ball have grown and, as such, introduced brand-new attacks into their repertoire. As they’ve grown, so too has their power and their understanding of it. From the Kamehameha created by Roshi and mastered by everyone else afterward to Piccolo’s powerful Special Beam Canon, each character has attacks that are synonymous with them.
Vegeta, however, is a little different in this regard, mostly due to the fact that he has had many iconic attacks over the course of Dragon Ball, so choosing just one is harder for him than it is for others. However, the Final Flash and the Galick Gun are the first ones that spring to mind, with the former being the Saiyan Prince’s finishing move in many of his forms. An extremely powerful attack born from the abilities of the Saiyan Prince, the Final Flash always dishes out an incredible amount of damage whenever it is used. After facing a humiliating defeat against Android 18 and then hearing about the danger that Cell possesses, Vegeta trains in the Hyperbolic Time Chamber to further hone his strength, eventually unlocking his Super Vegeta transformation. Though it was never seen, Vegeta also created the Final Flash and would go on to use it against Cell.

How The Final Flash Is Performed
The full power of this destructive move is only ever seen when it is performed properly. Much like Goku’s Spirit Bomb, the charge up for this move is quite long, as the user throws their arms wide open with their hands agape and facing outward. This is done for quite some time, as this seems to be the stance where Vegeta charges up the bulk of the move. Then, the hands are brought to the Saiyan’s front where, after a little more charging, a yellow ball of Ki is formed in their hands.
The sheer strength of this move is staggering, as electricity begins emitting from the user’s aura and the planet begins to shake, causing earthquakes and flooding. Finally, after screaming out the name of the technique, the user then fires off an incredibly powerful wave of yellow Ki that decimates everything in its path and is so destructive that it can be seen from space, making it one of the strongest attacks in the entire series.

Notable Uses Of The Final Flash
The first time that this move was used was also one of the most impressive showings of power in the whole franchise. After coming to know how much of a threat Cell was, Super Vegeta and Super Trunks confronted him after he absorbed Android 17 while looking for Android 18. The Saiyans proceed to embarrass him due to the gap in their power, but he eventually goads Vegeta into letting him transform into his perfect state.
After successfully transforming into Perfect Cell, Vegeta was far weaker than the Android, but he charged up and fired his Final Flash at him. Despite being far stronger than the Saiyan, Cell was still caught by surprise and was almost completely disintegrated on the spot by an attack so powerful that it was seen from space. It is used next against a Cell Jr. but since there was almost 0 charging time, it was easily countered.
Following this, Vegeta used the Final Flash while in his Majin form in his battle against Super Saiyan 2 Goku, though the attack happens very quickly and isn’t charged up, so it doesn’t have the same destructive output as what was shown before. Similarly, Vegeta briefly uses the attack in his fight against Kid Buu but, once again, it doesn’t seem to do much to the monster.

The attack was seen again much later in the Universe 6 arc, when Vegeta has a one-on-one bout against Auta Magetta, where the two of them had a beam clash which went in the Saiyan’s favor, letting him eventually overpower the automaton. Surprisingly, Trunks used the Final Flash against Zamasu after the Saiyans went to his timeline to defeat Goku Black and the Kai. It was seen later in the same arc against Infinite Zamasu when Vegeta charged it and fired it with Goku’s Kamehameha and Trunk’s Galick Gun.
The attack was also seen in the Tournament of Power arc, where Vegeta used a version in tandem with Goku’s Kamehameha, forming the extremely powerful Final Kamehameha against the Trio of Danger’s beam, and then again when he almost eliminates Catopesra. Though he uses the attack two more times towards the end of the Tournament without fully charging, his first use against Jiren is incredible.

The Final Flash is the perfect glass canon attack in the sense that its full power is only seen when it is fully charged. As awesome as this power is, it leaves Vegeta open to damage, which is why he typically uses the uncharged version, as it is quicker. The only times he’s used the full-powered one was against Cell and Jiren, where the latter, despite his overwhelming power, is surprised by the sheer force of the attack and is even initially damaged by it, commending Vegeta’s strength upon getting up.

Variations of the Final Flash
- Final Crash: This can be seen as a variation of this attack that was used against Recoome in the Namek Saga.
- Super Final Flash: The most powerful version of this attack where the Ki attack is fully charged up. It has only been used twice, against Perfect Cell and Jiren.
- Big Tree Canon: A much weaker version of the attack used by Kid Trunks in order to emulate his father’s energy blast.
- Final Kamehameha: The strongest attack of Vegito. Used by combining the Final Flash with Goku’s Kamehameha to make one of the strongest moves in Dragon Ball.
