Fallout: 10 East Coast Brotherhood of Steel Characters That Could Appear In Season 2

Fallout Season 2 will likely stick to the West Coast, but these East Coast Brotherhood members could make an appearance!

Amazon’s smash-hit Fallout series revisits a number of fan-favorite locations from the long-lived post-apocalyptic franchise, giving old fans and new fans alike some great looks at locations and concepts from the series’ deep lore. One faction on prominent display is the Brotherhood of Steel, a techno-religious order of knights in the Wasteland.

Want to learn how to join the Brotherhood of Steel in Fallout: New Vegas? Here’s all you need to know to become a faction member.

The Brotherhood of Steel is an expansive organization with its roots in the West, but in recent entries of the franchise the Brotherhood has expanded to the East Coast – and amassed quite a large presence there. The East Coast Brotherhood of Steel has some stand-out characters who would be perfect for a cameo or even a larger role in Amazon’s Fallout, so let’s take a look at the ten likeliest contenders.

10

Knight Sergeant Gavil

Head of Logistics

Gavil

Knight Sergeant Gavil in Fallout 4 was responsible for logistics at Boston Airport, the Brotherhood’s main outpost in the Boston Commonwealth – and one of the worst settlement locations in the game. Depending on the events of Fallout 4, it’s possible that Knight Sergeant Gavil has been stationed elsewhere, or is even back aboard the Prydwen in a more permanent fashion.

If he is aboard the Prydwen it makes sense that he could reappear in Amazon’s Fallout thanks to the mighty airship being stationed in California – and if Knight Sergeant Gavil does appear, it could be interesting to see him in a more senior role.

9

Knight Rhys

Brotherhood Stalwart with Ambitions

Knight Rhys Fallout 4

Fallout 4′s Knight players loved to hate, Knight Rhys is one of the first Brotherhood of Steel characters encountered during a typical play-through of Fallout 4. Stationed at the Cambridge Police Station as part of Recon Squad Gladius, Rhys is wary at first but does eventually come to an understanding with the player character if the player completes enough quests for the Brotherhood of Steel.

Knight Rhys lives and breathes the Brotherhood and its ideals, so it wouldn’t be too surprising to see him again in another capacity during the Fallout show.

8

Scribe Haylen

Morally Conflicted Field Scribe

Scribe Haylen

Scribe Haylen represented a softer face for the Brotherhood of Steel during the events of Fallout 4, being a much more compassionate person than her Knight counterpart Rhys as part of the Brotherhood Recon Squad Gladius. As a field scribe, Haylen is a bit more mobile than other scribes, so it’s entirely possible for her to be out and about in the California wastelands – especially after the climactic series finale which sees cold fusion let loose in the wastes.

Haylen specifically is an interesting character because her sense of morality often comes into conflict with the Brotherhood and its ideals, something which might be very interesting to see play out in Amazon’s Fallout.

7

Scribe Neriah

Radioactivity Expert

Scribe Neriah Fallout 4

Working directly under Proctor Quinlan, Scribe Neriah is a researcher interested in the various adaptations made to the radioactive wasteland by various post-apocalypse species such as mole rats. In Fallout 4 her main role is to provide the player with some quests and an upgraded variant of RadX.

But in Amazon’s Fallout, she could have a lot more to do. Amazon’s Fallout’s gulpers seem different from the East Coast varieties, and there’s also the drug used by ghouls to prevent them from turning feral. These seem very interesting avenues of research for someone like Scribe Neriah, so it’s possible she could make an appearance at some point.

6

Lancer Captain Kells

Captain of the Prydwen

Lancer Captain Kells Fallout 4

During the events of Fallout 4, Lancer Captain Kells is the captain of the Brotherhood of Steel’s airship, The Prydwen. Where it goes, he goes – and as of Amazon’s Fallout series, the Prydwen is in California. Lancer Captain Kells was high up in the Brotherhood hierarchy during Fallout 4, reporting directly to Elder Arthur Maxson.

Given his status as the man in charge of the Prydwen – likely the only person who truly knows its quirks and individualities – it’s entirely possible that Lancer Captain Kells could make an appearance in Amazon’s Fallout, especially since the interior of the Prydwen has yet to be featured.

5

Proctor Ingram

Engineering Genius

Fallout 4 Brotherhood Of Steel Proctor Ingram

In Fallout 4 Proctor Ingram was the Prydwen’s head of engineering and an engineer without peer – except in the shadowy Institute. It was Proctor Ingram who got the reactor used in the Prydwen fitted after salvaging it from a wrecked aircraft carrier. Depending on player choices, Ingram is also heavily involved in the main quest, disobeying orders from Elder Maxson to participate in a field mission to Mass Fusion.

Ingram is also disabled, with both her legs amputated. She uses a power armor frame to get around which is a fascinating look at how disabilities can be accommodated in the Fallout franchise’s post-apocalyptic waste. Her top-notch engineering know-how makes her an easy pick for an appearance in Amazon’s Fallout thanks to the presence of cold fusion technology.

4

Proctor Quinlan

Head of Research and Development

Proctor Quinlan Fallout 4

Proctor Quinlan is the East Coast Brotherhood’s Head of Research and Development in Fallout 4, and thanks to the epic showdown with the Institute and the technological marvels of the Commonwealth, it’s likely that Proctor Quinlan has had a lot to do with the Brotherhood’s technology in the years between Fallout 4 and Amazon’s Fallout.

So it would make a lot of sense for Proctor Quinlan to make an appearance on the East Coast, perhaps bringing with him some sort of advanced technology salvaged from the ruins of the Institute as part of the Brotherhood’s push in California.

3

Star Paladin Cross

High-Ranking Morally Resolute Cyborg

paladin cross

A player companion character from Fallout 3, Star Paladin Cross is a high-ranking member of the Brotherhood with a whole lot of charm and history. She’s not only a peerless warrior, but a cyborg as well – enhanced with cybernetics after saving the life of Elder Owyn Lyons.

Possessed of a strong sense of morality, Star Paladin Cross has both the willpower and the rank to question things in the Brotherhood, which could make her appearance in Amazon’s Fallout interesting to watch as well as literally explosive. As basically the highest rank possible without being an Elder, Star Paladin Cross could carry a lot of sway in the Brotherhood which opens her character up for some very interesting story lines.

2

Head Scribe Reginald Rothchild

Technological Mastermind

Scribe Rothchild Fallout 3

Head Scribe Reginald Rothchild appeared in Fallout 3 as the architect beh ind the refurbishment of the Liberty Prime mega-robot – both times. With his rank and experience being what it is, it’s possible that Rothchild could be transferred to California to oversee the research involving the cold fusion generator which made a major appearance in Amazon’s Fallout.

And Rothchild really would be perfect for it. Apart from working on Liberty Prime, Rothchild was a key figure in reverse engineering Enclave technology. With the Enclave loose in California, it’s a perfect time for him to make an appearance.

1

Arthur Maxson

Highly Ambitious Leader

Fallout Elder Maxson

First introduced in Fallout 3, Arthur Maxson was present in Fallout 4 as the Supreme Commander of the East Coast Brotherhood and an Elder. The last descendant of Roger Maxson, the founder of the Brotherhood of Steel, Arthur Maxson almost literally bleeds Brotherhood of Steel.

The Brotherhood of Steel is one of several factions in Fallout 4, and here is how you can join their ranks.

As someone with so much history in the Brotherhood of Steel, it makes perfect sense for Arthur Maxson to make an appearance in Amazon’s Fallout season 2. High-ranking, ambitious, with a family that has led the Brotherhood since the beginning and a clearly successful campaign in the Commonwealth to his name, it’s reasonable to assume that Maxson has his heart set on the ultimate leadership of the entire Brotherhood. By the time of Amazon’s Fallout, it’s possible he’s got it.
