Fallout season one was a huge hit for the streamer when it landed on Prime Video last year. Bringing in over 65 million viewers in its first 16 days was a monumental feat, not only for Amazon but also for the franchise’s many dedicated fans who waited nervously to find out how Bethesda’s post-apocalyptic video game adaptation would turn out. Thankfully, the series had little to worry about as it became the second most-watched title in the history of the platform after The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power in 2022 and ended up surpassing 100 million viewers.
Filming on the second season of Fallout was sadly delayed due to the devastating California wildfires, but now it seems as though production is well underway. Created by Graham Wagner and Geneva Robertson-Dworet, the Fallout TV series stars Ella Purnell, Aaron Moten, Kyle MacLachlan, Moisés Arias, Xelia Mendes-Jones, and Walton Goggins, who will all be returning. As teased at the end of the first season, Fallout season 2 will take fans to New Vegas, one of the most beloved locations from the games, and with more popular images being recently revealed, another popular location from its filming set has been leaked.

Fallout Season 2 Set Photo Leak Teases Return of Dinky the T-Rex
While fans are mostly still in the dark about what Fallout season 2’s story will unearth, a recent leak from the Fallout filming set looks as though it confirms the return of one of the game’s most iconic landmarks. For those who have played Fallout: New Vegas, Dinky the Dinosaur will be instantly recognizable as it appears in Novac as a huge roadside attraction. Situated within the Dino Dee-lite Motel complex, Dinky is found along Highway 95, so the giant green structure can’t be missed due to its enormous size. The T-Rex is seen holding a massive thermometer that has a bite taken out of the top of it while promoting the amenities at the motel like a color television.
The image in question, from Reddit user FeuTarse, showcases a behind-the-scenes image of Dinky’s massive head, modeled after the same statue that appears in the city of Novac. This is a really great callback for fans of New Vegas who will love seeing such dedication to the popular game 15 years later. Another brilliant reference is that the real “World’s Tallest Thermometer” is situated in Baker, California, which is now being used as a filming location for Novac in Fallout season 2. Many of the comments in the post are praising Fallout‘s showrunners for thinking about New Vegas fans and are excitedly expressing how they can’t wait to see more of Novac in season 2, as well as how far the TV series will lean into other characters from the game.
