Crucial to the world of Jujutsu is family clans, and a central one among them is the Zen’in family. Asides from the Zen’in family, the Gojo clan and the Kamo Family are also among the more prominent families in the series. These sorcerer families are clans of jujutsu sorcerers who pass down their Jujutsu techniques through generations.
The Zen’in family is known to be very traditional and conservative in their ways, and most important is their mastery of martial arts and using cursed tools. Due to their strong influence in the Jujutsu society, they are infamous for their arrogance. However, this does not lack credibility as the clan possesses some of the strongest sorcerers known to the world of Jujutsu. As regards this strength, here are some of the strongest members of the Zen’in clan.
10 Chojuro Zen’in
Chojuro appears only briefly but is a member of the Hei unit of the Zen’in clan, which is said to be a collection of the family’s elite unit of sorcerers, which makes him a semi-grade level one sorcerer.
Depicted to be self-assured in his abilities, Chojuro is a skilled combatant, possessing an innate technique that allows him to manipulate the earth to a certain degree. He displays this technique against Maki before his demise.
9 Ranta Zen’in
Ranta is another member of the Hei unit of the Zen’in clan. As part of the requirements to be a part of the unit, he is also a semi-grade level one sorcerer. Ranta can hold his own against Maki, albeit briefly, before succumbing to her rampage.
Like Chojuro, he also possessed an innate technique called the Paralyzing gaze, which allowed him to paralyze opponents with his conjured eyes.
8 Jinichi Zen’in
Jinichi is the son of the 25th head of the Zen’in clan and Toji Fushiguro’s brother. Unable to succeed his father, he is also a member of the Hei unit and is a special-grade level one sorcerer making him more powerful than other members of the Hei unit.
Undoubtedly a strong sorcerer, he, however, meets his end at the hands of Maki during the Perfect Preparation arc of the series. Like all other members of the Hei, Jinichi also possesses an innate technique called the Missile Fists, which allows him to create several cursed-energy imbued fists at once to strike an opponent.
7 Mai Zen’in
Mai is Maki Zen’in’s twin sister, and unlike her sister, she possesses average physical abilities but makes up for it using her cursed energy. Mai is a grade-three level sorcerer and an excellent marksman, making her a long-ranged damage dealer.
Using her revolver and cursed technique, she possesses pinpoint accuracy regarding her shots. Mai also has an innate technique called Construction which allows creating something from nothing using her cursed energy.
6 Ogi Zen’in
Ogi serves as one of the antagonists of the series. Father of Maki and Mai and brother to the former 26th clan head, Ogi is a special-grade level one sorcerer, which attests to his strength. Loosing out on the position of family head to his brother, Naobito, he becomes very resentful of his children, blaming them for his failure.
Ogi is an expert swordsman, possessing high battle intellect and a massive amount of cursed energy, making him a formidable opponent, as seen in his duel against his daughter, Maki. He possesses multiple innate techniques, which also is quite impressive. He, however, meets his demise at the hands of his daughter, Maki.
5 Megumi Fushiguro
The 27th and current head of the Zen’in clan, Megumi Fushiguro, is Toji Fushiguro’s son and a grade 2 sorcerer. Inheriting the clan’s most prized technique, the Ten Shadows, Megumi is hailed as having the most potential in the current first years. He is portrayed as calculative, stoic, and highly focused.
Favored by even Sukuna, Megumi can materialize a domain, a feat only the most powerful of the series are capable of, in addition to his inherited technique, and he is also properly versed in the use of cursed tools in tandem with martial arts. He is a genuinely formidable clan member with a mind that perfectly balances all his attributes.
4 Naoya Zen’in
Naoya is the son of Naobito Zen’in and was in line to succeed the previous head of the clan before Megumi was named head. Naoya is also one of the antagonists of the series. He heads the Hei unit and is a special-grade level one sorcerer.
Portrayed as arrogant due to the manner of his childhood, Naoya is also very formidable as he inherits the Projection Sorcery technique from his father. He is a highly skilled sorcerer with mastery of all his abilities and a considerable amount of cursed energy. Naoya, however, like others, meets his demise at the hands of Maki.
3 Naobito Zen’in
The 26th family head and father to Naoya, Naobito Zen’in is the original user of the Projection sorcery technique, making him feared and acknowledged in the Jujutsu society. He is a special-grade level one sorcerer like his son, possessing great battle intellect, large amounts of cursed energy, and multiple innate techniques.
He possesses no domain expansion technique but is a master of taijutsu and is regarded outside of Satoru Gojo to be the fastest jujutsu sorcerer, a feat attesting to his might in battle.
2 Maki Zen’in
Born with a meager amount of cursed energy but with outstanding physical abilities, Maki Zen’in is the daughter of Ogi Zen’in and sister to Mai. Maki is a grade 4 level sorcerer, a ranking unreflective of her natural capabilities as a sorcerer.
She is highly proficient at using cursed tools, which in tandem with her heightened physical abilities, make her a difficult opponent. After Mai sacrifices herself for Maki, she gains a steel body, almost on the same level as Toji Fushiguro. With her new strength, she quickly disposes of the clan, leaving herself and Megumi the only survivors.
1 Toji Fushiguro
A man born without an ounce of cursed energy, Toji was, however, one of the most fearsome fighters in the Jujutsu world before his death at the hands of Gojo Satoru. Popularly known as the sorcerer killer, Toji possesses immense physical capabilities to compensate for his lack of cursed energy.
Due to his Heavenly Restriction, his lack of cursed energy enabled his senses to be sharpened to the point that he developed a resistance to curses. He possesses great strength and immense battle intellect on top of the numerous cursed tools always at his disposal. Toji is only bested by the best of the series.
