Yuji could unleash more deadly abilities on Sukuna in JJK 258.
Jujutsu Kaisen delivered what could be considered to be one of the most exciting chapters last week, and thankfully, fans will get to see the exciting fight between Yuji and Sukuna continue in JJK chapter 258. In last week’s chapter, the fight between Yuji and Sukuna took an exciting turn, as Yuji finally unleashed his newly awakened powers and pushed the King of Curses on the back foot.

Yuji Itadori and Sukuna have a special connection in JJK.
This is likely to continue in the upcoming chapter as well, and fans are incredibly excited to see which direction this battle will go in now.
Yuji’s Shrine Evolution
Yuji Will Continue To Improve The Usage Of Shrine In JJK Chapter 258
Quite easily, the most exciting part about JJK chapter 257 was Yuji awakening the powers of the Shrine. For those who do not know, Shrine is the cursed technique that is wielded by Sukuna as well. It is the same power that allows Sukuna to use techniques such as Cleave and Dismantle. Yuji awakened this power in the previous chapter, and he made incredible use of it in the face of danger. Yuji completely took the upper hand in battle, and he used Shrine momentarily, slicing off a pillar, and, later down the line, attempting to chop Sukuna’s leg off. The Shrine will most definitely feature in JJK chapter 258, as Yuji tries to damage Sukuna again. The thing that fans need to keep in mind most of all is that Yuji hasn’t landed his powerful Shrine attacks on Sukuna just yet.
Drawn out by the awakened state achieved through Black Flash, the technique engraved upon the reincarnated body of Ryomen Sukuna, “Shrine.”
As such, fans do not know how dangerous his Shrine technique truly is. Sukuna commented on Yuji’s Shrine in the previous chapter and mentioned that his output of the shrine isn’t all that high since he has just awakened this power. That might change in JJK chapter 258 as he gets more accustomed to it. It must also be noted that Yuji’s Shrine is somewhat different from that of Sukuna. Yuji utilizes it in a very different manner. Clearly, he touches the object first, which then forms scissor markings all over the part that he intends to cut, and following that, the object is snipped off successfully. Yuji might utilize this new version of Shrine on Sukuna in the upcoming chapter and deal some deadly damage to him. In fact, it might even be possible for him to chop off Sukuna’s limbs, which could then shift the tide of battle in his favor greatly.
While fans would ideally want Sukuna to fight back better and hold his own in an exciting battle against Yuji, that is highly unlikely to happen. This is simply down to the fact that Yuji has continually weakened Sukuna in the previous chapter, and he is at a lower power level than he was at the beginning of JJK 257. Unless Sukuna has a trump card up his sleeve that fans do not know about, he is in a very tight spot and he will most likely end up losing this fight from here onwards.
Sukuna Weakens Even Further
Yuji Will Weaken Sukuna And Push Him Near Defeat
JJK chapter 258 will most likely see Sukuna weaken even further. This is simply down to the fact that Yuji is only just getting started and he has not even shown fans his true power. The first thing that fans need to keep in mind is that Yuji has access to powers such as Blood Manipulation and Shrine. Neither of these powers has been explored by him properly after his awakening, and that paints a scary picture for Sukuna. Previously, Choso mentioned that Yuji has not gained perfect control over Convergence just yet. However, that was before the awakening.
This brat has been chaining black flash hits like nothing!! Does he intend to climb up to my level?
After the awakening, Yuji is a completely different person and his control over cursed energy, as well as all his cursed techniques, has now been taken to the next level. This is precisely why JJK chapter 258 could very well see Yuji unleash his strongest techniques against Sukuna, and injure him greatly in battle.
Be it the usage of blood manipulation, using which Yuji can greatly injure the King of Curses, or the Shrine, which he awakened in the previous chapter, Yuji will most likely end up dominating from here onwards. Fans might even see new techniques from Yuji in the upcoming chapter, which is sure to excite all the readers. JJK chapter 258 will most definitely be another incredibly massive chapter for Yuji, as well as the entire story, given that it is going to shape the future of the JJK world as a whole.

Jujutsu Kaisen: Gojo Satoru’s Revival Is Inevitable And Here’s Why
Here’s why Gojo will surely return in JJK.
For only the second time in the Shinjuku Showdown arc, Sukuna is actually scared and that just goes to show how strong Yuji has gotten. JJK chapter 258 will also most likely solidify Yuji as one of the strongest characters in the entire series. Physically, he is able to keep up with Sukuna, and at the same time, his cursed techniques give him what appears to be a massive edge in combat. As mentioned by the narrator himself, Yuji could actually go on to surpass the King of Curses, and that certainly is very exciting.
Yuji’s Powerful Black Flashes
Yuji’s Black Flashes Are Likely To Cause Problems For Sukuna In Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 258
Close
JJK chapter 258 might actually feature another incredible power from Yuji and that is the ability to hit black flashes. Fans know that Yuji is the best black flash user in the entire series. Yuji has hit multiple black flashes in the story already, and just in the previous chapter, he managed to hit seven. He hit one more before in JJK 256, which means that Yuji has hit a total of eight consecutive black flashes against the King of Curses, Sukuna. Hitting eight black flashes is simply not based on luck. In fact, it could be possible for Yuji to actually hit black flashes at will. This has not been confirmed in the series just yet, however, it has also not been denied. JJK chapter 258 will most likely clarify whether they or not Yuji can hit black flashes at will. This is going to be a very important development in the plot, and, in case he can actually hit Black Flashes at will, then, fans can rest assured that Sukuna will end up losing the battle in maybe the next two or three chapters at most.
There is no way Sukuna can contend with a sorcerer that has high level reverse cursed technique, access to two different cursed techniques in Blood Manipulation and the Shrine, and on top of everything, has the ability to hit black flashes at will. Given Sukuna’s weakened state right now, this fight will not last long if Yuji can actually hit black flashes at will. JJK chapter 258 is, as a result, incredibly important in determining where this fight is going to go from here onwards. Perhaps, Sukuna will end up losing sooner than fans expected, and that is a surprise for all fans of the story.
Jujutsu Kaisen is available to read via Viz Media. The series can be read by the fans officially and for free on the Shonen Jump and the Manga Plus app. The release date for the next chapter of JJK, Jujutsu Kaisen chapter 258, is set to be April 28, 2024.
