The goal is frequently to provide villains with a second opportunity at redemption. Unfortunately, that seems improbable with these individuals in MHA
The popular My Hero Academia anime series has captured the hearts of viewers worldwide with its compelling storyline. One of the most intriguing aspects of the show is its focus on redemption and growth, which is frequently highlighted. However, not all villains in the show are portrayed in the same way.

Some villains are shown to be relatable figures who can be saved from their evil ways, while others are portrayed as unredeemable beasts. In My Hero Academia, these villains are twisted criminals who have no remorse for their actions. It’s a sobering thought that not everyone can be saved and that some people are just evil to the core.
8 Overhaul
Kai Chisaki, with the villain name Overhaul, was the leader of the Shie Hassaikai, a yakuza group of criminals who use their quirks for illegal activities. With his quirk, Chisaki could disassemble and reassemble anything he touched.
What makes Overhaul undeserving of redemption is the extent to which he has gone to achieve his plans. He continually put Eri, a young child, through excruciating pain by disassembling and reassembling her while using chunks of her flesh and blood for experiments to create a quirk-destroying bullet. Having the ability to put a child through such inhumane experiments without so much as a shred of remorse shows how twisted one can be.
7 Nine
Nine is a villain from the My Hero Academia anime movie “Heroes Rising“. Thanks to an experiment, he could steal other people’s quirks and add them to his own. Nine’s single-minded focus on becoming stronger makes him a dangerous opponent for the heroes.
As opposed to other villains, Nine made the decision to join the dark side on his own. Nine wished to bring up a society in which ‘lesser beings’ were ignored and only served the powerful. He is unworthy of redemption since he was willing to throw away thousands of ‘weak’ lives.
6 Moonfish
As a former member of the League of Villains, Moonfish’s quirk allows him to grow razor-sharp teeth that he can use to slice through almost anything. Moonfish has a disturbingly sadistic nature. He enjoys inflicting pain and terrorizing his victims, and his twisted personality and gruesome abilities make him one of the most chilling villains in the series.
Moonfish’s fascination with the flesh of humans makes him unfit for living with the rest of civilization. His obsession with flesh has a significant impact on his goals and motives. Even after joining the League of Villains before his imprisonment in Tartarus, Moonfish remained motivated by the flesh he would get to savor after killing the League’s enemies.
5 Muscular
Goto Imasuji, with the alias “The Carnal Murderer: Muscular,” is widely known for his brutal nature. Muscular was also affiliated with the League of Villains before his eventual imprisonment. Unlike the other members of the league who want to follow Stain’s ideology, Muscular joined simply to let loose with his violent tendencies.
Unlike the more scheming villains, Muscular has no goal other than to torment and kill brutally. He openly admitted to it, which makes him undeserving of redemption. He simply wants to live life to the fullest, killing and destroying as he pleases. As a rampaging beast motivated only to cause chaos, he would reject redemption even if offered.
4 Wolfram
As a cold and calculating villain, Wolfram appears in the My Hero Academia anime movie “Two Heroes.” He is a villain with the ability to manipulate metal. Unlike Muscular, Wolfram’s primary motivation is not to cause chaos or destruction for his own sake; instead, he is focused on carrying out a specific plan to make money.
As the leader of a troupe of thieves, Wolfram desires money more than anything. Although, even after getting his money, his shady tendencies come out as he schemes to kill his employer. To get more money for a quirk-amplifying device, Wolfram decided to use it to kill the then-number-one hero, All Might.
3 Kyudai Garaki
Using the alias Daruma Ujiko, Kyudai Garaki was involved in creating the Nomu, genetically engineered beings with powerful quirks to serve as All For One’s soldiers. Garaki is unique as a villain because of his intelligence, strategic thinking, and scientific expertise. He is a mastermind who can create incredibly powerful and dangerous creatures, and he always thinks several steps ahead of his opponents.
Garaki is undeserving of redemption because of his role in creating the Nomu, which are essentially brain-dead monsters created for the sole purpose of fighting and killing. Garaki’s actions have caused untold suffering and death, and he has shown no remorse for his actions.
2 All For One
This century-old villain is known for his efficiency and relentlessness in taking out his enemies. All For One is a powerful and dangerous villain that can steal and use other people’s quirks. He is notable for his manipulative and cunning personality and is always thinking several steps ahead of his opponents.
All For One has a long history of causing pain and suffering. He has gone so far as to try to turn the hero society against itself. All For One’s actions have caused untold suffering and death, and he revels in it all. Ironically, All For One does everything to establish himself as an unparalleled Demon Lord, including attempting to steal One For All.
1 Tomura Shigaraki
The sadistic main antagonist of the My Hero Academia anime series, Tomura Shigaraki, has a powerful quirk that allows him to disintegrate anything he touches. Shigaraki is notable for his sadistic and violent tendencies. He is shown to take pleasure in causing pain and suffering to others and is known to kill without hesitation.
Izuku Midoriya, the protagonist of My Hero Academia, wants to ‘save’ Shigaraki by granting him redemption; however, one can say that he is undeserving of redemption. Shigaraki wants nothing more than to destroy and cause chaos wherever he goes. For a main antagonist, his goals are incredibly simple. However, that in itself makes him bone-chilling to the core.
