Netflix’s One Piece Live Action has generated quite a lot of buzz among the fans and now, the full release is only weeks away. Fans have already seen a full trailer for the show and it certainly looks to have generated a lot of positivity among the fans, especially given how live-action anime series don’t tend to do all that well.

Fans are waiting to explore this world full of pirates, where Luffy sets out on a journey to claim the One Piece. Of course, on his path, Luffy is going to face a lot of enemies. While the vast majority of them will be pirates in Netflix’s One Piece Live Action season 1, there will also be several powerful Marines in the story.

6 Nezuminezumi one piece

Nezumi is a Marine Captain of the 16th branch of the Navy in the East Blue. He serves a minor role in the Arlong Park arc and fans will be excited to know that he is surely going to be involved in Netflix’s One Piece Live Action series. Whether Nezumi will receive a more pronounced role in the live-action series or not remains to be seen.

Nonetheless, he plays a great role of a villain in the arc as he collaborates with Arlong. With his casting having been confirmed, fans will certainly be looking forward to seeing him in a few weeks.

5 Fullbody

One Piece Live Action Fullbody

Fullbody is yet another Marine that fans will be sure to enjoy in Netflix’s One Piece Live Action series. Full body makes his debut in the Baratie art of One Piece. In the anime and the manga, he is seen on a date which Sanji then messes up for him. Eventually, Fullbody is beaten to a pulp by Sanji.

From there onwards, he becomes a minor recurring character in the story. It is unknown if the role of Fullbody will change in the live-action series, however, fans know for a fact that he is going to be in the Baratie arc. In the teaser trailer, Fullbody was seen clashing with Galley.

4 Morgan

Captain Morgan is a powerful Marine Captain who shows up very early in One Piece. He is the main antagonist of the Shell’s Town arc. Morgan is revealed to be a very cruel Marine Captain who oppresses all those under him. Shell’s Town is the arc where Luffy meets Zoro for the first time.

In the live-action series, Shell’s Town is also where Nami joins the crew. Fans will see these three characters combine to take down Morgan and his army of Marines. Morgan will play the role of a great antagonist in the early parts of the series and fans are intrigued to see if they pull off his role to perfection.

3 Helmeppo

Helmeppo is a character deeply linked to Morgan, given that he is his son. Helmeppo starts his journey as a very spoiled brat, who always cries to his father whenever something goes wrong.

However, later on, he rectifies his ways and joins the Marines. Helmeppo is then trained by Garp and he undergoes a very intense training. In the One Piece Live Action series, Helmeppo will play a more pronounced role, given that both Koby and he will be taking part in various arcs.

2 Koby

Koby is the first friend Luffy makes after he sets out on his journey. He was a slave on Alvida’s ship and after Luffy saves him, he sets sail with him. Koby goes to Shell’s Town with Luffy. Eventually, after Morgan is defeated, Koby ends up joining the Marines.

Just like Helmeppo, he is trained by the legendary Garp. Koby ends up training rigorously every single day until he reaches a point where he becomes a respected Petty Officer. His progression will be carefully tracked in Netflix’s One Piece Live Action series, far more than the anime. The side story involving him and Helmeppo, called the Diary of Kobymeppo, will most likely also make it to Netflix’s One Piece Live Action Season 1.

1 Garp
