Netflix’s One Piece Live Action series is closer than ever before and fans are incredibly excited to see what the showrunners and the staff have cooked up for the fans in about 4 years now. Fans have received a teaser trailer as well as a full trailer now and, by the looks of things, there’s a lot to be excited about. The first season of Netflix’s One Piece Live Action series is going to cover the entirety of the East Blue Saga, which spans over the first 100 chapters of the manga.
There are going to be quite a lot of powerful characters making an appearance in the first season of the show and while Luffy will fight some of them, there are others that will be full of mystery yet beholding tremendous powers.
10 Krieg
Don Krieg is one of the main antagonists that will make his appearance in Netflix’s One Piece Live Action series during the Baratie arc. Don Krieg’s Krieg Armada find their way to the Grand Line, however, on the 7th day of their journey, their entire fleet is destroyed by Dracule Mihawk.
Krieg returns and then ends up fighting against Luffy, facing utter defeat once again. Nonetheless, Krieg was renowned as the strongest man in the East Blue prior to Luffy defeating him and he had earned himself a bounty of 17 million berries.
9 Sanji
Sanji is recruited by Luffy during the Baratie arc. Prior to joining up with the Straw Hat Pirates, he worked as a sous chef on the ocean-going restaurant, and under Zeff, he trained consistently to be strong enough to fight off any pirates.
He’s introduced to be quite a powerful figure and when he joins up with the crew, he gets even stronger. During the Arlong Park arc, Sanji goes on to show his tremendous strength.
8 Zoro
Zoro will go on to fight against several powerful characters in Netflix’s One Piece Live Action series, some of them being legendary figures in the entire world. Being the second strongest in the Straw Hat Crew, Zoro always takes on the second strongest in the enemy group as well.
Zoro will fight against several dangerous enemies, notably Hachi in the Arlong Park arc, despite being injured. Fans will get a great glimpse of his Three Sword Style in the first season of Netflix’s One Piece.
7 Arlong
Arlong is going to be one of the strongest antagonists that Luffy will face in the first season of Netflix’s One Piece Live Action series. Being a Fishman, Arlong is 10 times as powerful as an average human, and the fact that he has consistently trained his abilities only means that he is that much more dangerous.
Arlong ends up clashing against Luffy and even though he loses, he certainly proves himself a worthy threat to nearly anyone. Arlong has a bounty of 20 million berries, however, this figure is not a true representation of his strength, simply because he bribes Marines to make sure that he keeps a low profile.
6 Luffy
Luffy is the protagonist of the series and thus, among the strongest characters that fans will see in Netflix’s One Piece Live Action Season 1. Luffy consistently grows both in power and abilities in the first season and the strongest enemy that we will fight and defeat is going to be Arlong.
To free Nami and the Cocoyashi Village, Luffy ends up defeating him and pummeling Arlong Park to the ground.
5 Smoker (Potential)
While Smoker has not appeared in any trailer so far, fans are fairly certain that he will end up making an appearance in the story. Smoker is especially important for the Logue Town arc of One Piece and the White Chase is likely going to be the first person in Netflix’s One Piece Live Action series to have a Logia Devil Fruit as well.
Smoker will be revealed to be far stronger than Luffy and a force to be reckoned with in the first season of the show.
4 Dracule Mihawk
Dracule Mihawk is a legendary figure in the One Piece world and he will make his debut in the Baratie arc. Mihawk is the man responsible for destroying Krieg’s entire fleet and he ends up chasing him from the Grand Line to the East Blue.
Mihawk eventually clashes against Zoro and absolutely destroys him in combat, humbling him in the process and reminding him that he still has ways to go. Mihawk holds legendary strength and is among the strongest characters in the entire series so, naturally, he’s among the strongest in the East Blue Saga as well.
3 Garp
Garp will surely make an appearance in Netflix’s One Piece Live Action season 1 and, given that he is a former rival of the Pirate King, Gol D. Roger, Garp is going to be among the strongest in the series.
While fans will likely not get to see him fight, just his status alone is enough to place him among the strongest in the entire series. Perhaps, the live-action series will have a few surprises for Garp fans as well.
2 Dragon
Dragon is the leader of the Revolutionary Army and he will end up making an appearance in the Logue Town arc of Netflix’s One Piece Live Action. Being the leader of one of the biggest power factions in the world of One Piece, it is not a surprise that Dragon is among the strongest characters in the entire series.
Dragon will end up saving his son in the Logue Town arc and there, he will also give fans a display of his incredible abilities.
1 Shanks
The redheaded Emperor of the Sea, Shanks is certainly among the strongest characters who will show up in the first season of Netflix’s One Piece, if not the strongest. Shanks is the man responsible for putting Luffy on the path to becoming the Pirate King.
He is also exceptional in his own right, being a pirate with immense potential, and someone that was once believed to be Roger’s very own successor. Shanks’ power will certainly not be fully explored in Netflix’s One Piece Live Action season 1, however, fans will possibly get to see him use his Conqueror’s Haki, at the very least.
