One Piece’s final saga is well underway and fans are incredibly excited to see the story wrap up it’s most exciting plot points. Of course, currently, the story is tackling the events of the Egghead Island arc, and this arc has brought together some of the most intriguing characters in the entire series. One particular duo that fans got to see in the Egghead Island arc towards the end was that of Dorry and Brogy. These two individuals were first introduced on One Piece a long before the timeskip, however, ever since then, they were not seen in action.

A One Piece arc better than Marineford is coming.
Now, they have returned, and it appears that they are stronger than ever before. Fans might wonder as to how much the difference in strength between them compared to before the timeskip is, and the answer seems to have been demonstrated properly by Oda in the last few chapters.
The Strength Of Dorry And Brogy In Little Garden
Dorry and Brogy Were Mighty Even Back In The Day
Fans were first introduced to Dorry and Brogy in the Little Garden arc of One Piece. Of course, given that these were monstrously powerful Giants back then, it was clear for the fans to see that their strength was far greater than most other individuals that they had seen at that point in the story. The Giants could easily decapitate a massive dinosaur with a single swing of their swords, and that was certainly a special display. In fact, they could even overpower Luffy in combat, which was a clear indication of the fact that they were not pushovers. Above all, fans knew that both of them had a bounty of 100 million berries on their heads, and as the co-captains of the Giant Pirates, they were incredibly powerful.
However, when putting things into perspective, a 100 million bounty isn’t all that high. Luffy acquired a 100 million bounty long before the timeskip and immediately after defeating Crocodile, and he was nowhere near the level of the top tiers of the One Piece world. For the Giants to have that bounty and be top tiers certainly does not make sense. However, when one considers the fact that Oda had not planned One Piece to go this long, a 100 million bounty for the Giants certainly starts making much more sense. It is clear to the fans that even though these giants were weaker in Little Garden, they possessed tremendous strength up their sleeves.
The only thing we can’t pierce is the snake soaked in blood. Behold the legendary “Spear of the Elbaf Giants”
Of course, Mr. 3 was able to get the better of them, however, he only did so using his smartness. Mr. 3 was not strong and even Crocodile mentioned that he valued him for his shrewd mind and not his strength. What Mr. 3 did to the Giants in Little Garden certainly should not be a measure of how strong they are. Fans did get to see quite a lot of Dorry and Brogy in Little Garden, and their physical strength was monstrous. In fact, even back then, they were powerful users of Haki, and their attacks were strong enough to destroy an island-sized goldfish, as seen towards the end. What’s even scarier is that they manage to do that with blunt, destroyed weapons, which suggests that they were far from full power.
The Return Of Dorry And Brogy
Dorry and Brogy Showed Up In the Final Saga Again
After the timeskip of One Piece, Dorry and Brogy returned to the scene. This was not a surprise to the fans, given that Oimo and Kashi had been looking for them ever since the event of Enies Lobby concluded. These two had sworn to get their captains back, and after Enies Lobby fell, they most likely set out on a mission to search for the Captains and eventually found them. Thanks to Oimo and Kashi, Dorry and Borgy returned to Elbaf, and now, they are incredibly important. Dorry and Brogy were properly reintroduced in the series in the Final Saga, specifically in the Egghead Island arc. They first appeared on Elbaf, and on this island, they helped Shanks destroy Eustass Kid and his ship, called Victoria Punk. With a single swing of the weapons, they sunk the ship to the bottom of the ocean, destroying the entire pirate crew.

Later down the line, they made it to Egghead, where they decided to find alongside Luffy and helped take him to the island of Elbaf. Of course, ever since they arrived on the island, their strength has been put on display by Oda time and again, and it is safe to say that they are doing incredibly well and appear to be far stronger than before.
The Strength Of Dorry And Brogy In The Final Saga
Dorry And Brogy Have Leveled Up Greatly
Close
Clearly, Dorry and Brogy are far stronger than their previous versions that the fans saw. This could simply be them getting stronger due to the many duels they fought with each other, but, a simpler explanation would be that Oda is only now portraying them to be what they were meant to be. Back when Little Garden was going on, Oda probably did not know how long One Piece would last. He had previously mentioned that he wanted the series to end by 2005. However, this ended up not coming true for many reasons.
Don’t they know that some things in this world can’t be stopped?
Despite Dorry and Brogy having bigger bounties back then, their strength was still portrayed to be monstrous and great enough to terrorize the entire world. It is just that Oda is finally giving fans a proper look at their true level of strength and actually delivering with these two characters. On Egghead, Dorry and Brogy have already engaged in some exciting battles. For one, they were seen crushing a Vice Admiral of the Marines with ease. Brogy did that all by himself without even using any powerful attack. Later, Dorry and Brogy clashed against the Five Elders. Both of them utilized the power of their incredible Giant body to chop up an Elder, which was Saint Shepherd Ju Peter. In the following chapter, Dorry and Brogy combined their strength to block a powerful attack launched by none other than Saint Topman Warcury.
If that wasn’t enough, they also managed to push back Warcury, which is a clear indication that their strength is of the absolute highest dear. Oda has made sure that these characters returned stronger than ever before, and if one were to put a hypothetical bounty on their heads, it would certainly be in the billions, not just for their infamy which they have acquired over hundreds of years ago, but also because of what they have shown to be capable of doing in the Egghead Island arc. Dorry and Brogy are certainly monstrous fighters worthy of billion berry bounties and their monstrous power, alongside their incredible Haki, sees to it that they be included among the strongest in the entire series. This might be a revision by Oda, however, it is one that makes absolute sense at this point in the story.
