The One Piece world is experiencing more turbulence than it has ever before in known history. Currently, the era is turning and with each passing day, it gets more tumultuous. In a very short span of time, two of the Yonko have fallen and that was immediately followed up by the destruction of Lulusia Kingdom. If that wasn’t enough, the Emperors are engaging in large-scale battles all over the seas, and, at the same time, the secrets of the world are being explored by Vegapunk on Egghead Island.
Among all that is currently going on, the Five Elders, who are some of the highest authority in the World Government, have now decided to give precedence to Egghead Island. As such, a Navy fleet has been sent to Egghead Island and, currently, the island has been put under siege.
Why The Navy Was Sent To Egghead
Quite a lot of the fans believe that the Navy was sent to Egghead Island because Emperor Straw Hat Luffy is there. This couldn’t be further from the truth. The Navy being on Egghead currently has nothing to do with the Straw Hat Pirates. In fact, the plans to assassinate Vegapunk were set into motion 3 months before the current timeline of events. Initially, the World Government sent several Cipher Pol agents to ascertain the truth about Vegapunk following York’s call. When it was made clear that Vegapunk was indeed studying ancient texts, CP0 was dispatched to take care of him. However, the Government also knew that Vegapunk has quite a lot of manpower on the island, given that he has four Seraphims and, at the same time, 50 Mark 3 Pacifistas as well.
The World Government feared a counterattack by Vegapunk and that is precisely why one of the Five Elders was sent to the island with Admiral Kizaru as his protection. The sole reason for this assault was to kill Dr. Vegapunk as well as his satellites and all the researchers on the island. Essentially, this was to be the second coming of the tragedy of Ohara. With such immense firepower at their disposal, it would certainly be enough for the World Government to eradicate Vegapunk and the satellites as well. However, little did they know that the newly elected Yonko of the Sea, Straw Hat Luffy, and his powerful officers would sail right into the situation and flip the balance into the favor of the genius scientist once again.
The Siege Of Egghead Island
Upon hearing about Luffy being on Egghead Island, Admiral Kizaru then ordered every single Marine ship nearby to come to Egghead. That is precisely why, currently, there are 100 ships surrounding Egghead Island. The Navy Fleet that was initially supposed to sail to Egghead was likely much smaller. When they realized that Luffy was on the island, Kizaru decided to surround him with every single ship he could find and make the situation as difficult for him as possible. A 100 ships surround Egghead Island of all shapes and sizes and among those ships are 20 Warships, which are believed to be the strongest of naval vessels that the Marines have at their disposal.
On those 20 vessels are nine Vice Admirals, including Doll and Doberman. Of course, the strongest asset of the Navy, an Admiral, is also present on one of these ships. Kizaru was the one chosen for this mission and fans are surely going to see him engage in some very exciting combat very soon. That’s certainly not all. A member of the Five Elders, Saint Jaygarcia Saturn, was also sent to the island and fans already know that the Five Elders possess tremendous power as well as authority. Although Saturn has asked to not be revealed to the general Marines, he is going to get forced into combat at some point. With all this manpower, the Navy has surrounded Egghead Island and blocked every exit. At the same time, however, they cannot get in either.
Emperor Luffy Vs The Navy
As things stand, the Navy is on standby since the Frontier Dome that protects the Labophase of Egghead Island is currently active. It has 100% power at the moment, meaning nobody can get in or out. The Navy must patiently wait for Yonko Luffy and his crew to make their move and then head into an all-out war. The situation might soon escalate to that as Luffy and his crew are preparing to leave the island as well. Getting Vegapunk to safety is of paramount importance and they certainly cannot stay on Egghead Island, given that it could be attacked at any moment.
The plan for Emperor Luffy from here onwards is to use York as a human shield and then proceed to make his way out of Egghead Island. While Luffy and his crew do not want confrontation with 100 marine ships that carry 30,000 Navy soldiers, they will inevitably end up fighting against these men. Of course, the biggest of clashes that everyone is holding their breath for is Luffy fighting against Saturn. Kizaru being thrown into the mix will also be incredibly exciting for the fans and there is surely a lot of potential here as this war on Egghead Island breaks out. There are also nine powerful Vice Admirals for the Straw Hat Pirates to take on in combat. While some members of the crew will surely enjoy taking them on in combat, there are others who are simply way too strong to fight against Vice Admirals. The likes of Zoro and Sanji could end up fighting against Kizaru instead and that would certainly make for a very interesting fight.
The Result Of The War
With the siege of Egghead Island now underway, it is only a matter of time before an all-out war starts. Even though Luffy wants to avoid confrontation simply because there might be too many men outside and, more importantly, he wants to protect Vegapunk, things almost never go according to plan for the Straw Hat Pirates, which would mean that they are going to fight against the Navy here. More importantly, Oda has already mentioned that the result of this Egghead Incident is going to shake the entire world to its core. If it was a simple escape by the Straw Hat Pirates, then it wouldn’t have been sensational news, to begin with. It can be safely assumed that an all-out battle is about to go down and, given that all the other Emperors have won their fights, fans should expect Luffy to win this clash as well.
The Straw Hat Pirates are a powerful bunch and they can surely handle a Navy fleet on their own. This is also Luffy’s very first test as one of the Yonko and he is certainly not going to fail here. Furthermore, Vegapunk simply cannot die, which means Luffy and his group have to win this confrontation somehow. It is possible that the group will receive help in the form of the Straw Hat Grand Fleet, however, it is also possible that Luffy figures out some other way to destroy the Navy fleet, but perhaps, by powering up the Iron Giant with his Nika ability. Regardless, both Kizaru and Saturn are going to fall in this matter, which is precisely the news that is going to shake the entire world to its very foundation. One of the Five Elders being defeated or possibly even taken captive spells grave danger and will only serve to incite more turbulence in the One Piece world.
