The Sweet Percival Is The Knight Of Death
One With “Verdant, Wing-Like Hair”

Type | Knight of Death |

Race | Life Spirit |
Status | Alive |
Kingdom Affiliations | Liones, Demon Realm |
Percival is the main character of Four Knights of the Apocalypse and surely one of the strongest in the series. The boy spent most of his life with his grandfather, Varghese. However, the boy’s life takes a drastic turn when Ironside, his father, attacks them and kills Varghese. After that, Percival is forced to go on an unforeseen adventure, where he makes some friends and a lot of enemies.
Very soon, Percival learns that Ironside and the other Knights of Chaos went on a murder spree to prevent the Four Knights of the Apocalypse prophecy. The naive boy also realizes that he is much stronger than a normal human being, and on top of that, he has magical powers. His magical powers not only enable him to fight enemies, but they can also heal any injury. His healing powers are even greater than those from the Goddess Clan.
Initially, Percival comes off as the weakest member of the group, but that perception changes when Percival comes back to life (twice) after getting killed. Also, there’s one moment in the series when some darkness takes over Percival, and he’s able to mummify anyone simply through touch. This mummification is so severe that even someone from the Goddess clan can’t heal it; only Percival can reverse that effect. Mummification is one of those abilities that justifies the “Knight Of Death” title for the boy.
There’s a whole world out there, and it’s calling your name, Percival – Varghese.
Percival is as mysterious as he is powerful, as he always makes us wonder about his true identity. We learn that Percival spent some time in the Demon Realm after he crossed between realms through a cave in God’s Finger. He unknowingly saved the Demon Realm from Behemoth by making the beast go to sleep. But how exactly is Percival, being a human child, able to do all this? Well, the answer is simple — he isn’t human.
Apparently, sixteen years ago, Ironside performed a restricted ritual and summoned Life Force into the lifeless body of a child. He wanted to later transfer the soul of his child into this body so that he could live outside of Camelot. However, before Ironside could do that, Varghese ran away with the child/Life Force, realizing that Ironside and the other Knights had become Arthur’s puppets. Varghese then raised the child as his own, and Life Force got so much love that he forgot its true identity. And well, that is how Percival came into existence.
The Cool Lancelot Is The Knight Of War
One Being “Mysterious With No Fixed Appearance”
Close
Type | Knight of War |
---|---|
Race | Fairy/Human |
Status | Alive |
Kingdom Affiliations | Liones, Benwick |
Lancelot is the son of Ban and Elaine from the Seven Deadly Sins and one of the Four Knights of Apocalypse. The Prince of the Kingdom of Benwick is one of the strongest characters in the series. In fact, he’s so strong that he’s able to overwhelm King Arthur during their first encounter.
Initially, Arthur doesn’t take the prophecy seriously, but meeting Lancelot makes him realize that these Four Knights could really be a threat to Camelot. In fact, Tristan, son of Meliodas and Elizabeth, acknowledges Lancelot’s powers and confirms that Ban’s son is stronger than him. Also, let’s not forget that Meliodas had put his faith in Lancelot to defeat Arthur when the King of Liones was protecting his son. Then, everyone in the Kingdom sees Lancelot humiliating King Arthur with his prowess. Eventually, King Arthur had to step back and escape from the Kingdom of Liones.
You have great fighting sense and reaction speed – Arthur to Lancelot.
Lancelot is one of the few characters who can change his shape to stay hidden from enemies. Interestingly, he takes the form of a fox (Sin) when he first meets Percival. The boy reveals his true identity after getting cornered by his enemies.
Not only is Lancelot incredibly powerful, but he also has the ability to read people’s minds. He can read into his enemies’ movements, which allows him to counter every strategy that is thrown at him. Even though Lancelot doesn’t speak much, the boy does make it pretty clear that he deeply cares about his friends, especially Percival.
The Charming Tristan Liones Is The Knight Of Pestilence
One “Having Both Holiness And Evil In His Eyes”
Close
Type | Knight Of Pestilence |
---|---|
Race | Nephilim |
Status | Alive |
Kingdom Affiliations | Liones |
Tristan is the one and only child of Meliodas and Elizabeth, which makes him the Prince of Liones. He has blood of both the Goddess Clan and the Demon Clan flowing in his veins, which is why his eyes are of different colors. Tristan can use the powers from his mother’s side to heal any wound. On the other hand, he can tap into his demon side to overwhelm any enemy in the battle.

Even though Tristan is perfectly able to embrace the powers of the Goddess Clan, he loses control whenever he uses his Demonic side. Tristan refrains from using only his demon powers because he’s afraid that he will hurt someone, but there are instances in the series where he has no choice but to fully unleash his demonic tendencies. Despite being royalty, Tristan is a compassionate child who cares about all races. He does everything in his power to protect those who he loves, including all the friends he makes along the way.
Do you bear a grudge against my father? A traitor to the Demon realm? – Tristan
Ever since childhood, Tristan has felt compelled to carry forward his father’s legacy, which is a huge task. He struggles to create an identity separate from his father’s, which is why he doesn’t like to be compared to Meliodas. This struggle prevents Tristan from becoming the strongest. That is why, even though he is the son of Meliodas, he couldn’t surpass Lancelot in terms of powers.
The Prideful Gawain Is The Knight of Famine
One Possessing “Gold-Colored Magic”
Close
Type | Knight Of Famine |
---|---|
Race | Human |
Status | Alive |
Kingdom Affiliations | Liones, Camelot |
Gawain, the Knight of Famine who’s destined to destroy Camelot, is also King Arthur’s niece. Despite being related to the Kind of Camelot, she decides to side with Liones and the other Knights of Apocalypse. She’s a powerful individual with a strong sense of pride, and that is why she doesn’t like taking orders. Since childhood, she has seen everyone blindly following Arthur’s orders, so she decides to find her own path and see what destiny has in store for her.
Gawain is one of those characters who instantly surprises you with her strength. She’s quite smaller in size, but she can use her magic to grow taller and more muscular. Interestingly, her muscular appearance makes her resemble Escanaor from the original series. She holds mastery at the Grace magic while also being a great fighter, which is why she was able to stand against one of the Ten Commandments. She’s also skilled at various Spells, which let her move past strong defensive barriers.
I am a master of the Sun – Gawain.
Gawain is incredibly talented, but as Pellegarde also states in the series, she does lack experience. On top of that, she easily surrenders to her aggressive and prideful nature, which prevents her from making wise decisions. In fact, it was her immature nature and pride that made her confront the Knights of Chaos all alone in the Demon realm. Eventually, the Knights defeat her in the fight and hold her hostage. That being said, Gawain does grow up later in the series and starts to trust her teammates.
The Prophecy Of Four Knights Of The Apocalypse
These Warriors Will Destroy Camelot, Not The Entire World
Initially, in the series, the Four Knights of the Apocalypse are introduced as people who will destroy the world. However, later, we learn that the prophecy is about the destruction of Camelot and not the entire world. Apparently, King Arthur created a heaven for humans in Camelot, where he used chaos magic to give false hope to humans. However, he snatches the lands and resources from other races to expand Camelot. Every time Arthur builds something in Camelot, something gets taken away from Britannia. He doesn’t care about other races, though. In fact, he wishes to exterminate all other races, which makes him the biggest enemy of the Liones — a safe haven for fairies, goddesses, demons, and humans.
Famine. Pestilence. War. Death. Four Holy Knights of four great disasters who will destroy the world – Lancelot
However, just like how the Seven Deadly Sins stood against the Demon race sixteen years ago, the Four Knights Of The Apocalypse now stand against King Arthur. These Knights will bring destruction to Camelot, thus saving the entire world. That is why the Holy Knights of Liones do everything in their power to find these Knights of Prophecy and keep them safe until they are ready to take on the big fight.
