While fans wait with bated breath for an official The Witcher season four trailer, one star from the Netflix fantasy series has recalled how she got into quite a bit of trouble after sharing an image that the streaming platform deemed to be a spoiler for its upcoming season return.
Netflix’s The Witcher is an adaptation of Andrej Sapkowski’s popular novels, which were published between 1991 and 2012, and was also turned into one of the most beloved video games ever by CD Projekt Red. The books were originally published in Polish and then translated into English so that the rest of the world could enjoy the incredible storytelling and world that Sapkowski created. The Witcher‘s narrative revolves around the fictional landmass of the Continent, where the Northern Kingdoms and the Nilfgaardian Empire lie and where creatures, both beasts and humanoids, roam. Although the main protagonist is Geralt of Rivia, who hunts these beasts, other characters from its world provide a stellar storytelling dynamic, like Ciri, who is tied to the monster hunter’s destiny, as well as Yennifer, a powerful sorceress who is Geralt’s true love.

The Witcher’s Safiyya Ingar Says She Got in Trouble for Season 4 Spoiler
In an interview with Screen Rant to discuss her upcoming movie Brides, Safiyya Ingar, who plays the Temerian sorceress Keira Metz in season three, revealed that she recently got scolded by Netflix for posting an image that apparently was far too much of a spoiler for The Witcher season four. When asked about the upcoming season, Ingar was holding all of her cards very close to her chest this time and revealed that she wouldn’t be letting anything slip for fear that it could spoil something. “I can’t! They’ve got us in a chokehold so hard, I could say one word, and there goes my NDA. My phone will blow up,” expressed Ingar. The actor then went on to reveal that Netflix wasn’t too happy about her posting a seemingly innocent image of some prop swords from season four.
“I remember I got in so much trouble. I can say this because technically people already know, but we went in for stunt training mid-last year. I posted a picture of the prop swords, and it was just an ambiguous little thing. There was no indication of anything in there. I was just like, “We’re back.” And everyone knew we started filming, so it was fine.”
The Witcher star states that things weren’t actually fine in the end because she then received a call from Netflix telling her that she needed to take the post down and there had been a security breach. “And I was just like, “But it’s a box of swords! The Witcher carries a sword!” said Ingar, however, the post had to be removed due to the streaming platform’s strict NDA. Thankfully, The Witcher actor did say one thing and that was that she thought “Liam Hemsworth looks great”, so at least that’s something.

Recently, Graham McTavish, who plays Sigismund Dijkstra in Netflix’s The Witcher, talked about the upcoming fourth season of the show and echoed Ingar’s comments regarding Hemsworth. The House of the Dragon and Castlevania star revealed that Liam was “a joy” and the show is “very lucky” to have him. The Witcher season four is currently in post-production with a hopeful release sometime before the end of summer, but hopefully, an official trailer is on its way sooner rather than later.
