Science and survival go hand in hand in a collection of multidimensional characters in the world provided in the manga and anime series, Dr. Stone. The series ties real science advancements with the storytelling of characters’ efforts to bring back a new civilization from scratch. Of these characters, the character that deserves to be highlighted is Tsukasa Shishio for his muscular strength and somewhat extreme ideals that threaten the principles inherent in the new world.

Tsukasa’s arrival brings about an ideological struggle between two visions of the world and a better future. Senku Ishigami wants to bring through technology and pure genetic heritage, in contrast to Tsukasa and his ideas of purifying the world from impurities of sin. This creates an interesting conflict of ideas that makes one think about the morality of human beings and bringing back civilization as it was before.

Unveiling The Man Behind The Might

Tsukasa dr stone

Prior to the process of petrification that has befallen humanity and turned them to stone, Tsukasa was a popular, muscular boy known as “The Strongest Primate High Schooler”. Thus, besides the muscle strength, he was perceived as a boy with a just heart and protective feelings for his little sister Mirai. This branch of protective instinct and experience rose out of him and defined his actions in the post-petrification world.

In the stone world, Senku resurrects Tsukasa and, as expected, understands that he needs a powerful person that can defend them from direct danger. Even when asleep, Tsukasa thinks for a moment and decides on a vision for a new world for himself. He turns into the leader of a group now standing against the resurrection of all petrified humans wishing to restore the world without the negativity of the former society.

It can be rightfully said that Tsukasa is a kind and gentle character with extraordinary physical strength. He is a very strong individual; he is even able to knock out a lion with a single punch, something that will explain why he is referred to as the strongest primary high schooler. In terms of fighting, he is highly superior and can defeat several opponents at the same time with very minimal effort.

Tsukasa is also intelligent as a character, and his intellect can definitely not be underestimated. He makes certain choices by resurrecting only selected individuals, targeting the ones who he considers appropriate for his new society. This selective revival affirms that he had the capacity to set and implement policies that favored his leadership as a diverse leader in the stone industry.

As much as Senku wanted to build a new world through science, he had a different dream. That is to free the new world from corrupting adults. He sought a place for young people only, as he thought that the previous civilization was corrupt and that young people were the only rightful occupants of the earth. He ends up being the main adversary of the early series and uses his own empire to directly counter Senku’s efforts to revive all of humanity.

Even if he had an extreme and rather fascist ideology, Tsukasa did not turn into a stupid simpleton and a musclehead. He was highly intelligent as well as being an innovative and philosophical person in terms of thinking. This proclamation meant that Senku wasn’t his enemy for personal reasons, but rather his view of the world that he was building. This placed him among the great characters in the series and showed the desperate measures people were willing to go through when they wanted to find something or someone or run away from something.

The Pinnacle of Power: Tsukasa’s Standing by Season 3

Rivals in Strength: Hyoga and Moz

Moz And Tsukasa

It goes without saying that there shouldn’t be much of a debate when it comes to recognizing that Tsukasa is simply quite overpowered to the extreme. Its episodes are filled with his actions and powers, making him look like a protagonist from shōnen battle anime rather than a story about survival based on science. Some of his key strength moments include punching a lion at first instance, breaking the stones using his bare hands, and, when fighting the members of the Kingdom of Science, he takes them all on in groups and moves out of the way of their attacks as if time is slowed down.

In terms of power, agility or stamina, there is no doubt that Tsukasa is easily superior to any of the other characters. This is evident by the fact that even characters such as Hyoga and Moz, who are good fighters, could not defeat him in a stand-up fight. Tsukasa is not only strong but also unpredictable due to the fact that his reflexes and flexibility are terrifying. He is also able to step out of the line of fire, deflect the weapon’s movement, and oppose his enemies with swift precision as to guess what they are going to do.

This is evident in his fight with Hyoga in Season 2, where he managed to match Hyoga’s spear movements and was also overpowering in return, all while being fatally injured. Such a look could easily move one to tears; the strongest fighter in Japan (at least in the show) kept fighting as if he were not injured, and this just proved beyond doubt that Tsukasa is really out of this world.

Tsukasa-1

It is, however, very obvious that Tsukasa is still, by the end of Season 3, the most powerful character in Japan. Now, even Hyoga and Moz, the two of them being his most serious competitors, do not stand a chance against him. While Hyoga can be described as an experienced spear fighter, Tsukasa managed to overpower him in a fight. Moz is fast and also coordinated when using the blade, but he cannot compare the strength of Tsukasa or his endurance, though it would be great to see them spar or go 1v1.

Tsukasa Shishio is not only a forceful character in Dr. Stone but the Stone World is his fighting ground. Most villains have some formidable qualities that set them far from the norm of any regular human being, but when it comes to Tsukasa, the character’s strength, durability, agility, and cunning outclass every other character in this category. He is a formidable character, whether he is the enemy or on the side of good. Well, is there a person who could really face him in combat? Perhaps, in any other country outside of Japan, there might be such a person. Thus, for the present, it will be Tsukasa who stands as the ruler of the Stone World!
