After an incredible chapter that dropped earlier today, fans are desperately waiting for Jujutsu Kaisen chapter 233. In the previous chapter, the fight between Gojo and Sukuna took a very surprising turn. As has been the case for the vast majority of this fight, Gojo had the upper hand once again, however, fans did not expect him to dominate while Sukuna was using the power of adaptation to get rid of Limitless in this fight.
Much to everyone’s surprise, Gojo still attacked relentlessly and managed to push Sukuna around, once again showing that he is indeed the stronger of the two. After completely overwhelming him, Gojo found himself in some trouble as well and fans are anxious to see what ends up happening from here onwards.
Gojo’s Injury
Fans are incredibly anxious going into Jujutsu Kaisen chapter 233, especially because of the events of the last chapter. Previously, Gojo was seen dominating the fight against Sukuna, despite the latter trying to adapt to Limitless. Sukuna was on the back foot for the entirety of the fight and that is understandable, given that he just had to wait for the adaptation process to finish. Gojo, on the other hand, was on limited time and had to finish the fight before the adaptation was complete. Fans saw him make use of Blue quite a lot at the beginning of the fight and the wheels started turning quite swiftly. After three turns, Gojo shifted his strategy and decided to rely on Cursed Technique Reversal: Red.
This time, he sent his technique Sukuna’s way, who decided to block it with amplification, however, he still ended up taking quite a lot of damage. What he did not know, however, was that Gojo’s technique had actually not hit. Moments later, the real technique hit him from behind and Sukuna was injured grievously. Immediately after, Gojo followed with a powerful Black Flash and completely knocked out Sukuna, signified by his eyes whiting out. When fans expected the breakthrough to have been made, they had another shock for them in the store as Mahoraga jumped in and used the Sword of Extermination to slash Gojo’s chest. Now, things are looking extremely grim and fans have turned their attention to JJK chapter 233.
Will Gojo Fight Back?
Of course, the biggest question that fans have going into Jujutsu Kaisen chapter 233 is whether Gojo is going to be in a state to continue fighting or not. Given that Gojo versus Sukuna is the biggest fight in this story so far, a simple slash is certainly not going to be enough to end it. Gojo is more than capable of taking grievous injuries and fans have seen that previously in the story as well. It is likely that Gojo will continue fighting in JJK chapter 233 and fans will see him in action against Mahoraga. The bigger problem for Gojo right now is how he will deal with this giant beast.
While not every fan will have noticed it, Mahoraga should not have been able to slice Gojo across the chest. His Limitless should have been able to stop the attack, and the fact that he was able to injure him means that the adaptation process has now been completed. This means Gojo cannot use his powerful abilities against Mahoraga anymore.
How exactly Gojo will deal with this problem remains to be seen. Fans do know that Gojo has other abilities in his bag that he can use to defeat his enemies. His Black Flash, for instance, is likely the strongest in the entire series and, perhaps, strong enough to defeat even Mahoraga before it manages to adapt to it. Given that he just performed one Black Flash, he could now potentially now be in the zone and, if that is the case, he can then launch a barrage of Black Flashes and defeat Mahoraga in battle. It is also possible that Gojo ends up receiving another severe injury here and falling in the fight. Fans hope that doesn’t end up happening in Jujutsu Kaisen chapter 233.
The Climax Of The Fight
It is entirely possible that Jujutsu Kaisen chapter 233 will mark the climax of this fight or, potentially, even end it for good. This fight is certainly the longest in the entire story and fans have been on the edge for months watching this battle unfold now. With the 10th chapter of this fight having now wrapped up, it is highly likely that a conclusion is on the cards. With Gojo losing his Limitless to adaptability now, fans can expect him to be on the back foot or potentially lose this fight. If Gojo does manage to fight again in JJK chapter 233, he will have to rely on other abilities to take care of Mahoraga. Getting rid of this shikigami is the only way for Gojo to stand a shot at winning the fight.
Even if Gojo does deal with Mahoraga, it remains to be seen whether Sukuna has been dealt with completely or not. Fans saw him completely white out in the previous chapter, however, it is unlikely for him to have lost entirely. If Sukuna does end up being awake, then it would spell further trouble for Gojo, especially if the injury that he received was lethal. Fans will have to wait for JJK chapter 233 to find out what becomes of the strongest sorcerer of the modern era and, at the same time, the fate of the strongest sorcerer of the Heian Era.
An Unpredictable Future
From here on out, the fight between Sukuna and Gojo can take multiple paths. It is possible that Gojo will lose the battle here to Mahoraga. However, it is also possible that he will deal with this threat and then continue the fight against Sukuna. Fans know for a fact that Gojo cannot use Reverse Cursed Technique to heal his injuries any longer. This also applies to Sukuna and neither of them can make use of their Domain Expansion. Even Limitless is now unusable for Gojo while Sukuna has been beaten up to a point where he completely passed out in the previous chapter.
If, somehow, Gojo manages to deal with Mahoraga, then the fight will likely come down to physical combat and, in that department, Gojo is the superior one, certainly. He has proven his superiority time and again when it comes to hand-to-hand combat and he should be able to take down Sukuna, however, much of that also depends on the assumption that Sukuna cannot use his Cursed Technique. If Mahoraga is no longer in play, then he can possibly utilize them and cause problems for Gojo. Regardless, the winner of the fight is likely going to be announced very soon. Gojo appears to be the one likely to lose, however, a draw or a win for him isn’t entirely out of the picture just yet. Truly, right now, the future of this fight looks like it is unpredictable, and only the author knows what direction it will take. The only way to find out is to read JJK chapter 233.
Jujutsu Kaisen will be released on August 27, 2023. As always, fans can read the manga on MangaPlus.
