That is precisely why Sukuna has decided to go all out now. Sukuna tapped into the power of Divine Flames in the previous chapter and he is ready to unleash it on the sorcerers. It will be interesting to see how the sorcerers counter this technique, but, the vast majority of the focus is most likely going to be on Sukuna himself. This is Sukuna’s moment and the author will likely not take it away from him right now.

Regardless of what happens, Sukuna will most definitely not win in the upcoming chapter, and this is down to the fact that Yuji recently got his Awakening and will most definitely fight back against the King of Curses in the upcoming chapter. Fans should fully expect the sorcerers to fight back in the upcoming chapter and attack Sukuna after the collapse of Malevolent Shrine. It must be noted that Sukuna likely cannot maintain Malevolent Shrine for long now.

Sukuna himself claimed that Yuji was looking to get on his level, and the editor exclaimed that Yuji was not just going to get on his level but actually go beyond him. This is a massive statement to make and it just implies that Yuji is not going to be sitting around. Fans should keep in mind that Yuji has Sukuna’s Jujutsu engraved in his body, and that means he knows how to utilize these powerful techniques. He only needs to bring them out. As such, fans should fully expect Yuji to showcase his powers once Sukuna’s Malevolent Shrine collapses and the fire arrow is done.

This also implies that the Shinjuku Showdown Arc is now edging closer to its end, and fans absolutely cannot wait to see how this particular segment of the story concludes.
