In the Final War Saga of My Hero Academia, the author of the series, was seen handling his best villain as well as he did. It can be said that even though the Final War Saga of My Hero Academia had its ups and downs, Horikoshi handled All For One brilliantly from beginning to end. That said, his story has not seemingly wrapped up just yet. He still has one lost go in him and My Hero Academia will most likely be tackling it from here onwards.
All For One’s Death vs Bakugo
All For One Was Beaten By Bakugo After His Return
All For One played a significant role in the Final War Saga and that was to be expected. Given that this was the ultimate villain of the entire series, he had to be at his very best in this arc, and at the same time, go out with a bang. Horikoshi worked on that aspect of this character brilliantly, and after he returned to his prime state, every single character in the series combined their strength to fight him off. From the likes of Endeavor, to Hawks, to many students, and even All Might eventually, all joined hands and tried to stop All For One in his path. It can be said that they succeeded greatly in this Endeavor, however, at the end of it all, the one who took him down was none other than Bakugo. After returning from death’s door, Bakugo rejoined the battle in the most emphatic manner and he showcased the powers of his Quirk Awakening against the greatest evil of all.
Nah, nothing less than absolute victory for me!! – Bakugo Katsuki
He utilized the power of his Explosion quirk and not only was he able to keep up with All For One, but he was also able to destroy him in battle completely. Bakugo crushed All For One, and while this was a shock to many fans, since most expected him to fall at the hands of Deku, All Might, or potentially even Shigaraki, it was Bakugo, against all odds, and he did so in a brilliant fashion. This way, the author ended up giving Bakugo his much-deserved role in the Final War Saga of My Hero Academia, and at the same time, it set the stage for the grand finale of the arc, which is the battle between Deku and Shigaraki. Ever since then, these two have been fighting it out, but now, the Final War Saga has seen a major twist in its final battle, as the greatest of all evils makes his return.

Close
As was seen in the recent chapter of My Hero Academia, All For One made his grand return. This came as a surprise to many fans, however, it cannot be said that the premise for this return was not already established by the author. All For One has always existed inside of Shigaraki. In fact, this is something that fans have known for years now, and the only way that All For One was actually being kept out of Shigaraki’s body was his resolute willpower. Shigaraki’s own will had grown so strong that All For One was being suppressed, which is something that even he did not expect when he started his plan. Regardless, Shigaraki proved to be too much for him, and as a result, he was beaten at his own game in a brilliant fashion. For All For One, this was the biggest failure of his life, however, now, he has been given the perfect opportunity to reclaim Shigaraki’s body.

The version of him that was suppressed inside Shigaraki started showing once again, and this time around, he made sure to take over his body in the most efficient of manners. By revealing the truth about his birth, his Quirk, and the destruction of everyone he held dear to him, All For One ensured that Shigaraki’s mind broke down, and as a result, the perfect conditions for his revival were presented. All For One Vs Heroes Begins
All For One Has To Fight To Win, Once Again
As is evident from where the story is right now, All For One is resurgent, and Deku is on his last legs. In fact, Deku has lost both his arms at this point in the story, which means that All For One is almost near victory. There is no other Hero around on the battlefield that is strong enough to defeat All For One, however, there are plenty who can stall him and give Deku the boost that he deserves. Towards the end of My Hero Academia chapter 419, fans saw a number of Heroes join the battle. these were Sero, who wrapped All For One in his tape, Sato, Ojiro, and above all, Aizawa. Given that Aizawa appeared from a Warpgate, it can be said that Shirakumi and the issues surrounding these characters have now been worked upon. At the same time, the warpgate opens the door for many other characters to join the battle as well, and the most significant of all is most definitely going to be Eri.
Fans know that Eri has the power of the Rewind Quirk and she can potentially heal Deku, and help him rejoin the battle against All For One. She has now received a very important role in the Final War Saga, and fans should expect her to emerge from Warpgate in the next chapter, and from there onwards, go on to heal Deku, and give him the final nudge that he needs to take down the greatest evil of all, All For One.
Undoubtedly, All For One’s return in the final battle of My Hero Academia is a splendid move by the author, as not only does it give Deku the much-deserved enemy that he needs to take down, but it also opens the door for Shigaraki’s redemption. It is a perfect blend that the author has now crafted, and fans can only hope that the conclusion is just as emphatic as the setup for it.
My Hero Academia is available to read via Viz Media. The series can be read by the fans officially and for free on the Shonen Jump and the Manga Plus app. The release date for the next chapter of My Hero Academia, My Hero Academia chapter 420, is set to be April 14, 2024.
