In fact, it wouldn’t be a stretch to say that My Hero Academia, right now, is enjoying its highest of highs and it will certainly only get better from here onwards. With the final battle against All For One all ready to commence, My Hero Academia chapter 421 has the attention of the fans, and it will certainly be exciting to see where the story goes from here onwards.
The Heroes Vs All For One
The Heroes Will Hold Off All For One For Deku
Towards the end of MHA chapter 420, fans saw many Heroes jump on the battlefield in order to aid Deku in his fight against All For One. This is essential at the moment because Izuku does not have his arms fully yet and it will take some time for them to recover. This means My Hero Academia chapter 421 sets up a confrontation between the Heroes and All For One. This is most certainly going to be focused on in the next chapter, and this battle is going to be very difficult for the Heroes to take on. Of course, they are already battered and fans should not expect too much from them at this point in time. That said, their numbers are immense and they only have to put up a fight against him until Deku recovers.
I know I’m not the only one who’s absolutely exhausted, but just knowing Midoriya is doing his best is enough to make my body move!
At the same time, the most essential character here is Aizawa. He has the power of Quirk erasure, and he will most definitely utilize it on All For One, which will give his students the opportunity to fight a weakened version of him, and, as such, make it easier for all the Heroes to buy more time for Deku. Regardless, this battle is going to be incredibly exciting and fans are very excited to see in which direction the story goes from here onwards. At the moment, things are looking very positive for the heroes, especially given the development surrounding Deku and Eri in the previous chapter. My Hero Academia 421 will most certainly feature Deku in the most emphatic of manners, however, much of that needs to be preceded by the valiant effort of the Heroes in their attempt to hold back, and potentially even weaken, the most heinous villain of all time, All For One.
There’s also a chance that fans might get to see more of Shigaraki in the upcoming chapter. While the chances for that happening are very slim, it should be noted that Shigaraki is not dead or completely suppressed. Shigaraki is still alive inside of All For One somewhere, and if he starts to fight back, then the battle against All For One will become even easier for Deku. It is going to be absolutely essential for Shigaraki to, at some point, build up his mental strength and fortitude once again, and take up arms against All For One. Whether that will happen in My Hero Academia chapter 421 or not remains to be seen. Regardless, fans are excited for what is to come and it will certainly be an amazing team effort to stop the greatest villain of all time.
Deku’s Recovery Is Complete
Deku Is Still Recovering From His Loss Of Limbs
My Hero Academia chapter 421 will also focus on Deku’s recovery. In the previous chapter, fans saw how Eri made a huge sacrifice for Deku. She cut off her own horn with the help of ectoplasm and gave this horn to Aizawa. Normally, Aizawa would have stopped her from doing something so reckless. However, since he wasn’t there, there was no one to stop Eri, and Ectoplasm himself was convinced by her brash nature. Eri cut off her horn and this was a massive risk for her. In fact, Aizawa even mentioned that she could have potentially ruined her Quirk forever by doing this. To Eri, however, this does not matter.

If her Quirk can allow Deku to win the fight against All For One and peace to prevail all over the world, then Eri is willing to do that. Eri gave her horn to Aizawa, and that is what he stabbed Deku with. That said, it was made clear to the fans that the horn’s power is going to be much weaker since Eri is not present there herself, and that it can’t go back too much in time.
The rewind process will be much slower. It should take about 2 to 3 minutes.
Deku’s arms started to recover in the previous chapter, however, this recovery process will most likely continue in My Hero Academia chapter 421. It was made clear in the chapter that he will need a few minutes in order for the power to work fully and to recover from the damage that he has suffered. That is exactly what is going to make up an exciting scenario in the upcoming chapter. Deku will have to recover, while the Heroes will fight on his behalf against All For One. Everyone’s job right now is going to be to defend Deku and keep any harm from coming to him. All For One will most likely try to get to him, and that is what the excitement is all going to be about.

Close
With Deku recovering and All For One striking against the students as well as the Pro Heroes, My Hero Academia chapter 421 is going to be absolutely massive. This battle will mark the beginning of the very final battle in the story. Previously, the fans thought that the final battle was going to be between Deku and Shigaraki, however, the author surprised the readers by bringing back All For One, and having Deku save Shigaraki, which, no matter which way fans look at it, is much more emphatic. This is going to be an exciting battle from here onwards, and it starts with the heroes defending their trump card, that is, Deku. Whether this battle is going to be won in the next few chapters or not remains to be seen.
What fans know for now is that All For One most likely cannot utilize the power of Decay. This was something that he seemed to have implied when he took over Shigaraki’s body, as he mentioned that it was gone forever. Still, he has the power of All For One, and he clearly mentioned that he can steal the Quirks of all the individuals who showed up on the battlefield in the previous chapter.
They will most certainly have to be careful while dealing with All For One, and if he does manage to steal a few quirks in the next chapter, it should not come as a surprise to any fan. Above all, it is highly likely that Deku will recover fully in the next chapter, and towards the end of it, strike back against All For One himself, which will then kickstart the final phase of the final battle in the series.
My Hero Academia is available to read via Viz Media. The series can be read by the fans officially and for free on the Shonen Jump and the Manga Plus app. The release date for the next chapter of My Hero Academia, My Hero Academia chapter 421, is set to be April 28, 2024.
