Ichi the Witch is written by Osamu Nishi and illustrated by Shiro Usazaki. The manga debuted in the Weekly Shonen Jump in September 2024. Shiro Usazaki previously worked on Act-Age, but the series was canceled after the writer got arrested. Her illustrations have helped Ichi the Witch become more popular among the masses. No sales numbers have been disclosed yet, but it is likely to be higher than 10,000.
As previously stated, Ichi the Witch was endorsed by Fujimoto and Horikoshi Kohei. Fujimoto is the author of Chainsaw Man, and his work is extremely popular among readers. In fact, Chainsaw Man had the most-read chapter on Manga Plus. Horikoshi Kohei ended My Hero Academia in August 2024. His series has sold over 100 million copies, making it one of the best-selling manga of all time.
While the manga is over, the My Hero Academia anime still has one more season left, which will adapt the remainder of the chapters. Being endorsed by two of the biggest icons of the manga industry means a great deal. Osamu Nishi and Shiro Usazaki will try to ensure that Ichi the Witch reaches the same heights as Chainsaw Man and My Hero Academia.
