Bleach has no shortage of highly charismatic characters who have the ability to charm just about anyone.
The Big Three was legendary at one point, with both Naruto and One Piece enjoying the highest of highs during its peak. The fact that the latter is still going strong to this day is proof of just how beloved this age of shonen really was, but there’s one manga in the Big Three that didn’t really enjoy the most ceremonious send-off — Bleach.

The manga definitely had a pretty intense high when the Soul Society arc came out, fleshing out this supernatural aspect of the show and introducing many characters and power-ups who were all pretty intense in their own right. While Bleach didn’t really reach the immense heights set by this arc, the show still had its fair share of amazing characters who have become quite beloved in their own right, in no small part because of how charismatic they are.
7 Ichigo Kurosaki
There are many people who feel that Ichigo is a pretty bland protagonist, whose one-note interest in saving people at all costs makes him a pretty shallow character in the eyes of many. While this criticism is pretty justified, that doesn’t take away from the sheer entertainment factor this man brings to the table, lighting up the show with his presence time and time again.
Ichigo’s a pretty humorous character, and it helps that his wealth of powerups makes him pretty entertaining to watch during a fight. He instantly endears himself to any person he meets, with his jovial and welcoming attitude being pretty great in its own right.
6 Sosuke Aizen
It takes someone really charismatic to fool an entire community of super-powered individuals to believe that a man who is actively plotting against them was actually their “friend” all along. Such is the case with Aizen, a wonderful antagonist whose betrayal marks the end of one of the greatest arcs in anime history.
It’s a shame that this character was done away with in such an insulting manner by Ichigo’s random powerup after being built up over multiple arcs. Regardless, many fans still love Aizen for his villainous charisma and immense powers, and it’s clear to see why the sales of the Bleach manga took a massive nosedive following his unceremonious defeat.
5 Kisuke Urahara
The mysterious Kisuke Urahara is a man with immense Shinigami powers who has been exiled from Soul Society for reasons that are described later on during the series’ run. This man has a composed demeanor that allows him to deal with Ichigo’s outspoken attitude, training the young upstart in the ways of the Bankai and succeeding with flying colors.
The man’s charismatic attitude makes him instantly likable from the get-go, prompting many viewers to wonder what the story behind this mysterious individual really is. It takes a while for Bleach to reveal the truth behind his exile, and it definitely doesn’t disappoint.
4 Shunsui Kyoraku
It’s only a given that the captain of the 1st Division in Soul Society is bound to be one of the most powerful captains of all time, and Shunsui Kyoraku definitely fits the bill in this regard. Despite seeming rather laidback and uninterested in the events that transpire around him, the truth is that Kyoraku isn’t afraid to turn up the heat when the situation demands it.
He’s definitely capable of emotion when the situation calls for it, with his reaction after hearing of Yamamoto’s death being pretty heartbreaking. However, it’s the innate charisma that oozes out of this powerful Shinigami that makes him such a huge fan favorite in the eyes of many Bleach fans.
3 Renji Abarai
Renji is an outspoken character in Bleach who doesn’t really make the greatest first impression when he appears alongside Byakuya to abduct Rukia for her execution. However, after Ichigo wins his fight against his character, the man reveals his true feelings for his friend who’s on the chopping block, begging Ichigo to save Rukia.
Over time, he becomes one of Ichigo’s closest friends from Soul Society, with the two regularly engaging in friendly banter over the course of the series. There are some who feel that Renji’s character can be a bit too one-dimensional at times, but that’s a minor complaint in the grand scheme of things when viewers notice his charisma and what he brings to the table.
2 Isshin Kurosaki
Ichigo’s father is constantly portrayed as a goofball who can’t really get things done promptly, leading to his son lashing out in hilarious screaming matches as they constantly berate each other. However, this animosity is pretty friendly in its own way, and it’s clear that Isshin really loves his children unconditionally.
His love story with Masaki makes it clear that he’s a passionate man who isn’t afraid to get what he wants. His charisma is something that most people would expect a cool dad to have, making him a beloved character in the series who is a joy to witness every time he comes on screen.
1 Yumichika Ayasegawa
It’s only a given that a man who treats himself like royalty would have a fair bit of charisma, although most people wouldn’t assume the same after seeing just how narcissistic Yumichika can be. However, despite how self-absorbed he is, the man is intensely loyal to his comrades and will lay down his life for them if need be.
He’s a pretty funny character who contributes to some of the funnier moments in the series. His flamboyance and eccentric nature make it clear to see why his charisma can be rather infectious at times, even if his over-confident nature can be pretty annoying to behold in some instances.
