Kizaru is among the strongest characters in the One Piece world and fans have seen quite a lot of him in the ongoing arc, Egghead Island. He is the man currently leading a 100-ship fleet into a war against the Straw Hat Pirates and Vegapunk in an attempt to completely destroy them. At his disposal, Kizaru possesses a unique Devil Fruit, called the Pika Pika no Mi.
This Devil Fruit was introduced to the fans long before the timeskip of One Piece and, ever since then, it has managed to enamor the fans with how incredibly powerful it is. With Kizaru now being a main player in One Piece, fans are going to experience the full power of this Devil Fruit in the upcoming chapters and there certainly is a lot that this Devil Fruit has to offer.
Who Is Kizaru?
Borsalino, better known by his Admiral alias of Kizaru, is one of the most powerful people in the One Piece world. He was once a Vice Admiral in the Navy and has, since then, risen through the ranks and become an Admiral. As an Admiral, Kizaru is the strongest military asset of the World Government and his powers are certainly to show for it. Although mentioned for the first time during the Long Ring Long Land arc, Kizaru was properly introduced to the fans in the Sabaody Archipelago arc, where he entered the fray to eliminate the Supernovas who were running amok the island just prior to the Paramount War. Fans got their first look at what he was capable of during this fight and, needless to say, he proved his strength by effortlessly taking out some very powerful next-generation pirates, such as Basil Hawkins, Urouge, X Drake, and even Scratchmen Apoo.
Kizaru also made his mark during the Paramount War arc of One Piece, where he fought against the Whitebeard Pirates and the allies and left the war largely unscathed. After the timeskip, Kizaru hasn’t made much of a mark on the story, that is, until now. Kizaru was sent by the Navy to Egghead Island in an attempt to take out Dr. Vegapunk and all his satellites for the crime of studying the Void Century. Unbeknownst to the World Government, Luffy made his way to Egghead and now, Kizaru and his Navy are embroiled in a war against the Straw Haw Emperor of the Sea.
The Power Of Pika Pika no Mi
As soon as Kizaru made his debut in One Piece, he made use of his Devil Fruit powers right from the get-go. Kizaru was the second Admiral to reveal his Devil Fruit powers to the fans. The first was Kuzan, who showed his incredible ice powers during the Long Ring Long Land arc. Kizaru, on the other hand, showcased his powers during the Sabaody Archipelago arc. For instance, the Admirals should be powerful enough to be able to fight against the likes of the Emperors and other mighty pirates on the seas. Even their bounties, which have been recently placed by the Cross Guild, are similar to those possessed by the Yonko. Just like every other Admiral, Kizaru has a Three-Crown bounty on his head, which equates to 3 billion berries. This bounty is equal to that of Luffy and very close to that placed on Buggy’s head.
Bounty is certainly not the sole indicator of strength, however. Kizaru has also shown time and again that he can fight against the mightiest of pirates. During the Paramount War, he clashed with Marco, the First Division Commander of the Whitebeard Pirates, and fared incredibly well. He even clashed against Whitebeard on a few occasions and managed to injure him to a small degree. Kizaru is certainly very overpowered, thanks to his overpowered Pika Pika no Mi, however, he also has great control over his Haki. As a speed-based fighter, it is essential for Kizaru to have access to great Observation Haki. During the Paramount War, he was able to evade the attacks of Rakuyo similar to how Katakuri evades attacks, suggesting a possibility that he is able to see into the future as well. Furthermore, Kizaru can use Ryuo, as shown during the Paramount War, when he dispelled one of Whitebeard’s powerful quakes using it.
Devil Fruit Awakening
If all this in itself doesn’t make Kizaru overpowered already, then fans should also consider the possibility that he might be an Awakened Devil Fruit user. Given that Kizaru has held his Devil Fruit ability for so long, he certainly has a chance to have awakened it. He is also one of the strongest characters in the entirety of One Piece. Weaker characters, such as Katakuri, Doflamingo, Kid, and Law have managed to Awaken their Devil Fruit. It is especially true in the case of Kizaru, since he is over-reliant on his fruit. Thus, it is entirely possible for him to have Awakened his Devil Fruit and if that is the case then it would increase his strength even further.
Sadly, fans do not know exactly what Logia Awakenings are just yet. Regardless, if Kizaru does possess an Awakened Devil Fruit then the Pika Pika no Mi can be considered even more overpowered. The true power of this Devil Fruit is likely not even revealed to the fans just yet, however, the Egghead Island Arc will see to that. For the very first time, Kizaru is at the center of a proper fight and this time, Oda won’t simply skip around it. Fans are incredibly excited to see what Kizaru can accomplish against Luffy and the Straw Hat Pirates and, at the same time, how he ends up using his Devil Fruit. Only the Egghead Island arc will be able to provide the answers to the fans.
